Perfect Texas Hill Country Getaway

We really enjoy this peaceful, well kept home close to Enchanted Rock. It’s nicely appointed, well managed, and in a beautiful location. Close enough to Fredericksburg to enjoy the shopping and dining, but far enough to be full of birds, wildlife and beautiful views.

Great location close to enchanted rock

Great location close to enchanted rock. We enjoyed watching all of the deer at the deer feeder in the morning and it worked out perfect for us to wake up and head straight for our hike then clean up before we headed out.

Perfect little house- clean and comfortable

We choose this house because of the close location to a wedding at Contigo Ranch and it was perfect. The house was very clean and plenty of room to spread out. Peaceful location and we enjoyed the hiking around the property. Highly recommend if you want to have peace and quiet away from town.

Fantastic!

Great place to stay after visiting Fredericksburg. Completely remodeled, comfortable king size beds, lovely scenery. We hiked enchanted rock in the morning just a few minutes away.

Great and relaxing property

We had a great stay in really nice recently renovated house. Perfect location for the wedding venue nearby. Enjoyed watching the deer in morning and evenings. There were small amenities that we do not often find in other VRBO’s. We would certainly stay here again!

Great place to stay especially for a wedding at Contigo Ranch

We were there for a nephew’s wedding so we wanted a place close to the venue. If you are attending a wedding at Contigo Ranch this is the place to stay. If you are not attending a wedding this is still a great place to stay. Lots of room and amenities with a peaceful location. It is a ways from town but still a great location. Would stay here again.

Beautiful!

We found the property to be very welcoming and enjoyed the greeting we received from the deer! Rooms were spacious, beds comfortable and overall great accommodations! Especially enjoyed the backyard and the stars away from city lights. Great location - far enough away from hustle, bustle but close enough for shopping and wine tasting fun!

Nature Lovers Paradise

Deer visited every day, as did the hummingbirds, and even a big black cow grazed by 😉 Be sure to walk the property to view wildflowers and butterflies of every color. House amenities were great and as advertised. Would stay again.

Fabulous property, great location.

Fabulous property with everything we needed for our stay. We wanted to be out of town - and this was a perfect location. About a 20min drive from Fredericksburg and less than 10mins from Enchanted Rock Park. The fire pit in the back yard was a great touch to make smores and star gaze! Our teenagers loved it. Thank you for a great stay!

We’ll be back…

Great home, very clean, and good proximity to town. We like to stay on the outskirts and the location of this home was perfect. Very quiet and loved seeing all the wildlife, especially the deer. We enjoyed hanging out with our friends in the backyard around the fire pit. We’ll definitely be back.

Excellent hidden gem!

Excellent property in rural location, perfect for nature lovers. Very clean and tidy outside. Inside, property is gorgeous! Beautiful finishes and accessories. Well stocked, very comfortable. Host was excellent to work with. We are rebooking soon for this time next year! :-)

Pleasant surprise

This was our first vrbo stay. Loved the home. So very clean and bright and comfy beds very comfortable. We only drove 1/2 mile to the event and it was nice not to have to drive the windy road back to fredricksburg after the wedding. The kiddos loved seeing the wildlife. Thank you

Wonderful

Great house: The deer supplied a lot of entertainment, as well as the fire pit. Had some problems with hot water which the owner fixed same day. House is very close to Enchanted rock. Could not have asked for a better experience.

AWESOME PLACE ❤️

It exceeded our expectations. The hike to the look out was perfect for watching the solar eclipse . Our little guy even did the hike with us because it was gradual enough for him . We loved wading in the creek with my son. it was his first time seeing little fish , and frogs and all the fun stuff . 😀 Everything was beautiful and clean. I highly recommend. I loved the shower head that felt like rain drops so much too lol 😊

This is our second time staying at the cottage and we love it! We love the privacy and rural area where the deer come to visit daily -a nice distance away from Fredericksburg. The cottage is well equipped, clean and baby friendly as we had a one year old and the playpen came in handy. The spaces were comfortable for our family of 6 plus a tiny one and we loved having all king beds in the bedrooms. The bathroom with the clawfoot tub was wonderful and the showers (heads) were appreciated by the guys. The firepit was a treat for us on a chilly evening and we enjoyed sitting in the beautiful backyard with the baby. We liked having a separate dining area to eat and play games and the washer and dryer were so handy. The kitchen was fully equipped for our needs-even making Thanksgiving dinner! Having the kid friendly family winery next door was a wonderful experience as well- so pretty, quiet and accessible. We left a baby item and the owners were very accommodating to mail it to us. This has become our traditional family Thanksgiving spot to go to each year. We just hope we don't outgrow it soon! :)
