Wonderful accommodation with every notch checked on the “perfect getaway”. Location, fireplace, hot tub, warmth and comfort, and a nostalgic appeal made this vacation stay an experience to relive!
This was our first trip to Fredericksburg and won’t be the last. What a beautiful cabin and setting. We enjoyed our time on the porch with the view of the amazing trees and koi pond, so relaxing. Beds and linens were so comfortable. This cabin is very tastefully decorated, I would call it a little bougie. We absolutely loved the experience!
We loved every second! We stayed here to be walking distance to Main Street and then we ended up just hanging out at the cabin most of the time. I didn’t even realize that there were 2 beds/bedrooms from the listing and the cabin was quite large. We loved the fireplace, but firewood/starters are not included so make sure to bring your own! We really enjoyed the hot tub, it was very clean and the temp was perfect… we also had a couple of neighbor kitties visit us everyday! One even tried to come inside lol… the bed was very comfortable and the bathroom was nice, although I could see it being a bit of a problem if there were 2 couples staying there since the toilet doesn’t have its own room. It did get a bit cold in the bathroom as well(it was freezing outside). Overall, wonderful stay and we would stay again!

Honesty
Very nice place. Very Good Beds. Quiet neighborhood and conveniently located.
Lighting could be brighter, especially in bathroom.
when we booked the cabin, it shows to have an inside jacuzzi and an outside jacuzzi. Upon arriving, the inside has been replaced with a big shower. Nice but really wanted the inside jacuzzi. Shower needs more water pressure. The advertising should be changed to reflect accuracy of cabin.
Overall, it was a pleasant weekend.

Beautiful Cabin
We booked this cabin stay for our 30th anniversary. The cabin itself is beautiful! It was wonderful to stay at a cabin that was mostly original and had beautiful wood floors and walls. But for us that was where the beauty stopped.
The cabin is located 2-3 streets off of main so very convenient to Main Street shops, etc, but traffic could be heard from inside the cabin starting about 5:30 am and was constant for several hours and was a very busy road during the day to evening. Then the city was doing work on the road and so early each morning we heard maintenance and work trucks beeping and working; along with the road being blocked off several times making it difficult to get to the cabin driveway. Outside the yard is cute, but I wouldn't say it is private. Also the flowerbed had broken plant pot and was not well maintained.
Inside the lighting was VERY dim and made it very difficult to see at times. Ladies, if you want to see in the bathroom to put on your makeup, you will need to bring your own lighted makeup mirror. The other issue with the bathroom was that the toilet ran to refill every 15-20 minutes all day and night. There were very nice TVs in the living room and bedroom which was nice for the evenings. The issue was there was not a comfortable place to sit in the living room. The couch was old and very stiff and low to the ground; the chairs were high winged back chairs and not comfortable either. The king size bed was nice and had a good mattress on it; the issue was that the sheets were slippery and would move several itches around under you every time you moved or rolled over. The pillows were very lumpy and off low quality. The metal bed frame at the foot of the bed blocked the view of the TV. There were boxes stored under the bed that stuck out, so you had to watch your feet as you got in and out of the bed.
Overall, for the price we paid for a four night stay, this is not a place we would stay again. There is a for sale sign on the property which may explain why our experience wasn't the best we have had visiting Fredericksburg.

Buckhorn Cabin
We loved the charm of the Buckhorn cabin. It was cozy, comfy, rustic, and the location was unbeatable! My only suggestion would be some bathrobes, especially during the winter when we were running from the hot tub back to the cabin. Haha! Other than that, it was amazing! We will definitely stay again!
This little cabin is nestled just off of Fredricksburg main drag making walking around town very easy. Step back into the 1800s (with modern updating and high end decor). The place is really nice and clean. The property manger was prompt in responding to any question I had. And I’d definitely be back if I go back to Fredricksburg!
Everything was excellent; location, the cabin, very comfy bed, and we loved the hot tub! Although a minor issue, I will say with the lights in the HT not working & the solar lamps out, it was very dark & difficult to access the tub in the side yard.

We loved our stay!
We absolutely loved our stay at the Buckhorn Cabin in Fredericksburg. The cabin was very rustic and yet very comfortable. The cabin is located on a quiet street and yet within walking distance of Main Street and the War Museum of the Pacific. We enjoyed everything about the place from relaxing on the front porch, soaking in the outside jacuzzi, watching the big screen TV, or drinking the flavorful, provided coffee. We would happily stay there again and highly recommend the place to others.
A little trip we took as a Christmas present for our mom

We loved our stay!
Everything was wonderful. Only one suggestion—- please leave instructions for the tv's. We wanted to watch local news in the morning and couldn't figure it out.
Also, the one teeny tiny round of soap was not enough. Luckily we bought our own.

Absolutely the Best!
The cabin was amazing! We stayed in one day just to enjoy it. Definitely will stay here again. AAA+.
Very charming log cabin. Unique and fun. Supper clean and tactfully decorated. Outdoor areas are great. Cool koi pond, beautiful yard with rope swing. Hot clean and worked well. The street is quaint with lots of beautiful and well taken care of homes. Easy walk to restaurants, shopping, bars, entertainment. A/C worked great and it was summer. Kitchen is a mini fridge and microwave. We weren’t planning to do any cooking anyway.
The house / property is a perfect rustic feel but the traffic is a bit busy for a neighborhood.

Buckhorn Cabin
The cabin was just lovely. I wasn't crazy about the lighting situation. I had to put my makeup on outside. You need a lamp upstairs. For older people sleeping in the loft and turning the light off down stairs. It's not safe.
I have always stayed with absolute charm over the years. This cabin was amazing but the accommodations were absolutely minimum. For the money I was disappointed.

Great location, loved the porch for morning reading. Lighting was pretty limited/low; hangers would have been nice for clothes. Had to run out and purchase cork screw for wine. Thank you!!

Issue with the AC; got warm during the night. The water tank in the toilet keeps filling up during the night.kept me awake. The light is dim. Prefer white bulb in the kitchen. There is no stove to cook. Suggest to provide a single electric burner. Coffee flavor taste awful. Need to replace furniture on the porch. Otherwise, everything is perfect. Thanks!
