"We were in town for a funeral and stayed at this tiny home as an experiment. It was a good experience with the host and the home. I highly recommend if you find yourself near Franklinton. There were farm fresh eggs in the kitchen and everything you could want for an evening stay. It can be hit or miss on short term house rentals, this was a home run."

"My 11 yr old granddaughter saw this listing and begged to stay “at the castle house”. The “castle” is a unique, one of a kind 3 story house, at the end of a trail through the woods. Please be aware that the dirt road and narrow trail to the house might not be suited for small cars. (We have a full sized truck.) We were not allowed access to the 3rd floor of the house, but the 2nd floor had everything we needed. The house has a small elevator that worked well. Although we didn’t have much time to enjoy the view, it would be very nice to have a cup of coffee while sitting on the wrap around porch and listening to the sounds of the river and wildlife. So peaceful! If you want to get away from sounds of civilization, this is the place for you. Our only complaint would be the lack of window coverings. Most of the walls are glass, including the master bathroom and bedrooms. EVEN THOUGH the house is deep in the woods with no neighbors, we were not comfortable sleeping and using the bathroom with no window coverings at all. My first thought was that the glass must be coated so you can’t see in from the outside. But that was not the case. So if you are a very modest or private person, this might be a concern. Other than that, it’s great! "
