"The weather was not particularly kind to us during our stay so the property's great location helped enormously in keeping us dry (being literally metres from the Roman Baths, the Abbey and Heritage Centre). "We could not wish for a better house for the weekend. The property was so impressive and very well equipped. It was spacious and so clean and little touches were amazing. The best part of the house was the outdoor space and the pool and hot tub which was heated and very clean. The hosts were amazing and really made the stay so special and were always on hand to answer any questions. I would definitely come back here as it’s perfect for any occasion."

"The property was well kept with everything being simple and easy to use. It had everything we could have possibly required, from the bathroom to a fully equipped kitchen, as well as a washing machine and line if required for longer stays. The whole place was very comfortable and in a very beautiful and convenient location with places such as Castle Combe, Bath and Longleat not far away if you wish to go out for the day. "Yes, this property is 220 years old, but it is magnificent. The living room is expansive and the bedroom is huge. And it is all decorated with care and appropriateness. The separate kitchen is fully equipped and has a table for two, if you don’t want to spread out on the full dining table in the great room. We particularly liked the pillows. There were dozen on the bed, and four sofas! We can’t wait to return."

"The main road is noisy until the traffic dies down later on in the evening. The metal framed windows, even when shut, let through a high volume of road traffic noise. It was a period of unusually high temperatures by day and night when we stayed and the room we stayed in was in the loft space and therefore really warm and so the windows had to be kept open most of the time. This is by no means a complaint merely a note for other people who stay in the loft apartment who may not be as comfortable...

"This is such a nice property, clean, bright and fresh! The location is ideal for exploring Bath. We arrived after 9 days in a hotel in London, and it was great to have access to a kitchen and washing machine. My elderly dad really appreciated the lift. Communications and check-in were easy, and our hosts were instantly available by phone when we had a question about the front door access. "My family of 5 had two rooms, one a family suite that was very comfortable for the couple and one 11-year-old, and a twin bed room. The manager allowed us to store our 7 bags of luggage in a secure space upon our early arrival, allowing us to explore the city. Breakfast was excellent with many places to sit. Those sausages were especially yummy, as was the variety of food overall. The front desk made an extra effort to rectify a misunderstanding of the need for twin bedroom for my granddaughter and me, finding just what we needed without making me feel that I had misunderstood what I had reserved. The location in city centre not far from the train or shops or restaurants was just what we needed. Beds were comfortable, bathroom was modern and clean. The only issue in the bathroom was difficulty for us in regulating shower temperature--perhaps a sign with instructions could be posted. Every staff person with whom I interacted was so kind and helpful. One even provided a map with clear directions to the train. Overall, the experience for our 2 nights in Bath at the Hampton by Hilton Bath City was unequivocally positive. I recommend wholeheartedly. "
