Just that there is no one at the reception in the morning like we stayed for 2 nights. After 1 night I had questions and there was no one to talk to and the next day after checkout when we wanted to exit the gate and the automatic control was not working it had to be manually controlled and there was no one for that. We had to ask someone in the cafe to help out in that.

Nice location for the gondola ride up the mountain, but the room we stayed in hand multiple boogers on the wall, which made it unpleasant

Great hotel for outdoorsy people, excellent location, welcoming staff in the hotel, bar and cafe. Only one thing missing - a dry room would make a lot of sense since the people staying there will most likely need to dry stuff!

Amazing is a good word for this hotel. From staff to room and area. There eating places there. Breakfast in the Pinemartin Cafe is good. I will gi back another time.

My stay was really enjoyable overall. Bedding wasn't extraordinary, probably my only complaint overall. The staff is amazing and really friendly! Highly recommended, especially if you're into outdoors and hiking.

Didn't get the chance to stay, no one notified me that the hotel cancelled the booking due to no electric or hot water, so can't comment on the hotel, however communication was non existant as I travelled to the hotel and wasxtold at reception the booking was cancelled. The receptionist said she notified Expedia and Expedia said they cant find a record of the call...just waiting for refund

Location, room and view were all good. Room was nice and clean with decent tea/coffee. But the adjoining cafe for breakfast was expensive : £6:95 for a bowl of porridge. And they had no continental breakfast option. The adjacent bar only served meals (burgers) on weekends.

What Most Hotels Strive (and Fail) to Achieve!
This was everything a modern hotel should be; functional, clean and stylish in a modern, un-cluttered way. After a good night's sleep, we popped over to the café and had a really good breakfast before driving the 15 minutes to the foot of Ben Nevis... the perfect preparation for a long day climbing. The only caveat was that the TV didn't seem to have the usual Freeview Channels and so we had nothing to watch although, to be fair, I was too tired to ask reception so it might have been another user error on my part,

While my stay was not horrible. It was certainly not as expected. Firstly. We were given a disability room. This was a bit uncomfortable. When we asked about it we were met with a "its fine" the shower was designed for persons using wheelchairs and was not pleasant at all to use. Same with the toilet and sink. The hallways are like echo chambers. You can hear everything. The doors also have a loud bang when closing. Bad for when other guests return at night. We were there, obviously during off season. It was not busy. The bar/restaurant was very limited. You could order a burger or a burger. Overall it was ok. Also note: although they describe having premium channel's. There is in fact NO tv channels. You can stream from your own device only.

Nice location a short drive from Fort William. Cool room with 4 bunks and a double bed. Good coffee provided as well as some cookies! Ate in town so did not try the restaurants. They looked nice though.

Visited the hotel in summer for mountain walking and it seems like it would also be a great location for skiing and cycling. It was clean and secure with a friendly helpful check in. The family room was small and basic with no lounge area so best for a family planning outdoor activities all day. The food in the bar and breakfast were good. On check out morning staff were busy and it felt somewhat understaffed.

A beautiful place to stay right at the foot of the mountain. I liked the cafe where breakfast was served and there's a nice burger place open in the evening for dinner. The staff were amazing - our car needed oil urgently and they very kindly arranged for someone to bring us oil! (We paid for the oil obviously.) But they saved us - so that was just brilliant. The room was nicely designed and modern. Be aware that the TV is cast only - so you have to log in on your mobile phone to a streaming service and then cast it to the TV - which was fine with us. The only problem was that the room was extremely hot and we were only provided with an extremely noisy desk fan to try and keep us cool at night. Sleeping was difficult - it was quite an expensive hotel so I would have expected better.

Hidden Gem!!
We found Base Camp Hotel by accident and because the pictures only showed the gondola building at the top of the mountain, we didn't know what to expect. To say we were pleasantly surprised is the understatement of the year! The facility was new and super clean, comfortable, easy, and the staff was top rate and helpful. Can't say enough good things. The on site dining and breakfast was great and don't miss the ride to the top of the mountain on the gondola! Breathtaking!! You don't have to be an outdoors adventurer to enjoy the facility. Anyone who enjoys hiking, beautiful vistas, or casual outdoors in the Scottish highlands will love this venue. We will certainly stay at Base Camp Nevis again should we find ourselves in the Fort William area! 10 Stars!!!

Brand new hotel, mixed feelings but good overall
Its a brand new hotel (weeks I would say) so everything is new. We stayed for much less than the standard cost for the rooms, so I am happy in general, but at full cost I would not see it as good value. They did a mistake with out booking and ended with one Standard room instead of both superior but they did acknowledge and comprensated us, so very happy about it. The superior room is small but OK. The standard room is very small, borderline tokyo size which I found odd as the hotel is very isolated and there is plenty of space to build. We could not make the TV work and there is very little space for belongings on both rooms. The bed is a double (135 I think) on both rooms, which was pretty tight, but as advertised. The mattress was firm and confortable. The selection of tea/coffe is great and good quality. The biscuits is a nice touch. As expected, no minibar or expresso machine. Everything was very clean. The bathroom is again small (smaller on the Standard room). Shower has generous size but the rest is tight. The shampoo, gel, etc. are very nice (no single use items). Maybe adding a couple towel hooks will be a plus. The general area is as expected with no common areas beyond the bar/restaurant. The breakfast is a la carte. Very good quality and reasonably priced. Maybe the full english should include the drink, being an 11.50 dish, but in general all very good. I would recommend and stay again at a reduced rate but probably not at full rate.

This place had amazing views!! For being a new facility, the rooms were comfortable. They could definitely put a mirror in the family room outside the bathroom and add a mattress pad to the beds, but otherwise it was good. The restaurants had excellent food and drinks!! The gondola lift to the top was stellar!! We were very happy with our choice of staying here.
