Kirk was an exceptional host for a exceptional property. Very communicative, and the cabin had a very homey vibe to it. If you're looking for a serene remote getaway we highly recommend.
It was clean with great instructions on how to keep this remote cabin working well. Even had coffee and cooking essentials available. Beautiful location.
The owners are always quick to respond and helpful. The house has everything we needed and plenty of room to relax. We all enjoy the pool table and games. This was our second stay at the Hummingbird Hideaway. We really enjoyed both stays.
Great place to stay absolutely beautiful cabin with great views and entertainment options! I recommend this for anyone trying to get away and just hide out. Or you can visit one of my favorite nearby sites- Zapata falls! Near the sand dune national park!
We loved how beautiful the valley and views were. The house was equipped with everything we needed from games to blankets with ample space for our large family.
We had a wonderful time at this mountain cabin. We have staid at many online properties and this is one of our favorites! The host is friendly and helpful. A fantastic place for a family. A true Colorado mountain cabin in one of the prettiest parts of Rockies … A+++
Cabin is very nice, clean and comfortable.the coffee pot is very slow.I brought my own coffee pot because the coffee pot was very slow last year when we stayed.
Would highly recommend this cabin for anyone looking for a quiet mountain getaway.
The house had everything we needed for the stay. There were plenty of games and movies for the kids and plenty of room for everyone. It was located close to the National Park and other great areas for hiking and exploring. The owners always responded quickly if we had a question.
Our stay at The Hummingbird Hideaway was a peaceful time of rejuvenating. The cabin is beautiful and very well appointed. The views are nice from any place in the house. Communication from the owners is impeccable! Highly recommend!
The property owners were amazing to work with, very quick to respond to emails or phone calls. The house is beautiful and perfect for quiet mornings watching Chipmunks and hummingbirds on the front deck and beautiful in the evening with the sunset and stars in the evening.
We were in aw of how beautiful this place and area is. It was so peaceful and just like a piece of heaven. We had such a relaxing time. My husband and I stayed at the cabin the whole time once we got there. Our son and his friends basically stayed down in the basement and ventured out to explore Colorado. We both agree this has been hands down our favorite vacation to date. Thank you to the host to make sure everything was perfect.

Close, but needs a few things
Nice place with some shortcomings. The A/C unit was not there, as advertised. There are no screens on the windows in this house. We found this very disappointing. Who rents a place thinking they should ask if there are window screens? It got very warm and stuffy every afternoon. The large triangular windows let blinding sun in in the late afternoon. I could barely cook supper with it like that. When we arrived there was garbage on the floor in the corner of living room. We were sticking to the floor in the hall and I had to mop the first evening. Turns out there was hummingbird sugar water all over the floor and running down a shelf. The lowest level is very musty. There were also crickets, both dead and alive, down there all over the carpet. I vacuumed on night one. Be careful, the stairs are different heights in the rise of the stairs. There was laundry in the washer when I went to use it mid-week. I didn’t know if it was clean or dirty. The amenities were good and most everything you would need for your stay is already there.
