I love this place. We had the place to ourselves. Hot tub and pool were excellent. Bunkhouse 1 bed is comfy. Bathroom is nice and upgraded. Don’t bother with the fireplace. There were roach poops all over the shower floor and intermittently spread in the corners mainly but didn’t see any cockroaches (it’s Texas and they’re everywhere) so we washed them down the drain using the hand-held shower head and wore our flip flops when walking around inside. The robes and slippers were nice. The towels and linens were new and nice. I would stay here again.

There was a small mouse on two occasions. No sign of infestation but the owner needs to make sure mice can not get in Bunkhouses. Not really unexpected to see a mouse because the setting is in the middle of a natural area on a ranch but owner needs to follow up before it becomes an issue Other than the mouse everything about the Bunkhouse was very good-clean, well set up, comfortable, amenities good. We would return for another stay at the High Frontier

We were looking for a quite place out of the hustle of the city. This place was perfect. Very nice room with a wonderful bed that was awesome after a couple of long days of hiking and watching the stars. Pay attention to the welcome e-mail because you go straight to your room like an Air B&B. We would recommend for sure. Also, our Golden Retriever loved it as well.

What a wonderful place to stay. The room was spacious, modern, and clean. We were able to sit outside at night and see the stars so clearly. The views are amazing and I would recommend High Frontier to anyone wanting to stay in the Fort Davis area.

This place was awesome! It was a bit hard to find, and there was no cell signal to help try to find out how to get there, but other than that it was a wonderful getaway! Quiet and serene, beautiful landscape, and the suite itself was superb! I would absolutely recommend this place to anyone.

The room was very clean and comfortable. The view of the mountains was wonderful, and the night sky was gorgeous. I've never seen so many stars! We didn't get to enjoy the fireplace as the weather was too warm for a fire, but I bet it would have been cozy. Compared to other accommodations in the area, the price was very reasonable. I'd definitely recommend High Frontier.

We stayed in bunkhouse 1 which was very spacious and well appointed. The views are beautiful and star gazing was amazing with the dark skies. There’s a gym, pool and hot tub that we look forward to using on our next visit. Only 5 miles into Ft. Davis for restaurants so it was very convenient. I highly recommend High Frontier!

We stayed in the field house #4. Very clean and modern room. We did not have time to try the pool, as we spent so much time exploring the local trails. Looks like a great space for an event.

Best: we were upgraded to a nice place with good value. It was peaceful and beautiful and quiet. Worst: very hard to find unit. Staff did not ick up phone. No oven, hence the upgrade. No espresso. 10 big spiders under sink. Dirty floors.

The studio 2 room was clean and spacious. The rain show head is not for me but I'm sure I'm in the minority. The robes and slippers were a nice surprise. We didn't get to try it the pool. Maybe next time. I did not see any of the staff but we did not need there service. I wish we could have stayed longer. Thanks for your hospitality.
