"Jayden, Megan and Shawn were friendly and helpful and kind. The hotel is very very old but beautiful and the beds clean and comfortable. The hotel is right in the water so you fall asleep to water lapping at the walls. The hotel is also super convenient as it is right next to the main shopping street. Highly recommend"

"Wonderful place to stay. Nothing is really walkable in Shetland, but I would say Varis House is great for walking to the main shopping street. Our room was neat and clean. There was parking on the premises, but there were trucks filling it when we were there. There was also parking across the street, so it was not a big deal. Lots of pastry, cereal, fruit, meat and cheese options for breakfast. I would definitely stay there again. Make sure you speak with someone before you book if stairs...

"Hotel location ideal for coming off the ferry but after that your away from town. Buses don't run later at night , so it's taxi or lomg walk back. Staff were very good but the decor is dated and dark.changing to brighter colours would transform it."

"We have stayed at the Kveldsro for a week plus on two occasions, and really enjoyed ourselves each time. The hotel is not a new building, but as a result is full of character. The rooms are very comfortable and the bathrooms fairly recently updated. The dining room and many of the bedrooms have a wonderful view over the Lerwick harbour. "Beautiful, clean fully equipped accommodation. Hosts have thought of everything, and we were able to arrive early/ stay later due to the ferry times - which was so kind of them. We visited many sights, and wandered on the cliffs and saw puffins and sea otters, as well as other wildlife. Really would recommend staying here if you love beautiful views, peace and quiet.
