I check in about 8:30 pm and walked out about 8:40 pm. the room smelled of smoke, dirty socks and chemical. So many people smoking in parking lot, smoke was wafting in thru the doors to the lobby, there is a noisy truck stop next door. In less than 30 min, I check in and out of the Country Inn.

I didn't like the train but that's not hotel fault. I didn't like that there wasn't 1 single vending machine. No drinks nothing. I had to check in a little early they let me.

Property was clean, kind of dingy outside though. Had broke down semi trailer parked out front and a grotesque skeeter pond out back. Housekeeping staff was chipper and polite when. Front desk staff was cold and as flat as sheets, maybe they should consider professions alone in cubicles.

Most of the outlets in our room were worn out (vacuum cleaners?) They were too loose to hold a plug and make a connection. I thought the towels were pretty thin also.

The security lock on the room door didnt latch. The vent on air conditioner was broken. The towels in the room were like rags..but when we asked for additional towels, they were very nice. The soap supplied lasted one shower. The lobby was very nice, breakfast was average. Probably wont stay there again.

Property is about a 25 min easy drive from Osh Kosh. The staff was friendly. Breakfast was a bit underwhelming given the prices charged during the week of OshKosh.

It was clean and convenient for our needs. It was fairly close to the highway and next to a truck stop so a bit noisy but not terrible. MOST of the staff was friendly and helpful. There were several things in the bathroom in poor condition. The tub was super slick. The shower head was bad There was a plastic piece broke on the shower about stomach high that was sharp and jagged. One of the safety rails were in disrepair. The sink faucet was loose. Our biggest issue by far was the towel shortage...1 bath towel in our room when we checked in. I got up and used the towel the next morning then went down to the front desk to get a couple more for the ladies in the room and I was told there were none. There should be some in the laundry I was told... maybe they would be ready in an hour or so, they would bring them to our room. Very inconvenient when you have places to be. We stayed 5 nights and the towels were constantly an issue. There weren't even enough towels for housekeeping to carry on their carts. Could be a nice place with the right owners or management.

There were several issues. Expedia web pages gave option to pay at hotel but still asked for credit card to hold room. So we provided a card to just hold the room. The hotel charged the card 5 hours before we even arrived at the hotel. In all the years we have rented hotel/motel rooms we have not ever had a card charged prior to our arrival. Then the bathroom sink wouldnt drain well and the toilet had to be flushed 2x even for a #1. The shower took muscle man to get it to come on. We were told at the hotel the hold would be released in 24 to 48 hours. It was not instead it was charged and not the card that was presented at check in. Tried calling the hotel after the charge posted and the clerk told us itis very normal to charge prior to arrival. He did say he would send an email to the owner and as of this posting we have not heard from anyone. When we tried calling back we were hung up on 2x. Called the bank and disputed the charge as it was not "authorized ". We will not return to this hotel or recommend it to any of our friends and family. On top of all this the hot tub jets barely worked and were placed so low they did not even hit our backs.

We had to switch rooms twice in the first night. The first room had a terrible musty smell since there was no ventalation. The second had dead insects on the bed and the window was full of even more dead insects and live mosquitos in the curtains. The third room that we ended up stuck in, had a wet rug from the hvac dripping down the wall and what looked like black mold due to the moisture and lack of air flow. We spoke with the hotel owner, Mr. Sony, the 2nd day and he first offered/showed us a 4th room that was clean and told us to figure out the refund with expedia for the remaining nights since we were not comfortable staying there. Then once we confirmed with Expedia, he took back the offer telling us he had booked the room already (it had been 20 minutes, if that) and since we were dealing with Expedia now he couldnt help us anymore and he had tried everything to make us happy already. Overall, the hotel was dirty and potentially hazardous to our health, and the owner lied straight to our faces so we canceled the remainder of our stay there. Terrible experience.

Hotel was extremely clean and felt "cozy" and homey. Was perfect for our stay there! The coffee and cookies in the lobby were an extra bonus, and we really enjoyed the breakfast in the morning! Overall a really great value!
