"Was amazing , good restaurant And location for viewing the northern lights"

"I could not have asked for a better place to stay than the Aurora Igloo South to top off our Iceland experience! We spent the evening staring up at the stars being wowed by the dancing Northern Lights appearing all around us. In the morning we watched the sun come up and admired the view with our coffee. I had requested the extra package for a bottle of champagne and chocolate for £35 - completely worth it! ✔️Easy to communicate with via Expedia app ✔️Straight forward to find and access Igloo ✔️Clean ✔️3 heaters and heated bed if required ✔️Storage cupboard for clothes/suitcase with cubbies underneath we put our shoes and backpacks in. Importantly - coat hooks!! (Really winds me up when anywear lacks a coat hook). ✔️Coffee machine with 4x pods, 4xcreamer sachets, tea bags, 2x chocolate sachets ✔️Mini fridge ✔️We found the bed and especially the pillows super comfortable - so cosy I struggled to get out in the morning ✔️Private bathroom a good little size with complimentary toiletries Only a couple of recommendations/things to be aware of... ☝No kettle, just the hottish water from the coffee machine which wasn't sufficient for our big thermos so I had to stop later on at a petrol station to fill that up ☝No microwave/cooking facilities to heat food/soup etc. Again, I realised this on route and stopped at Selfoss Nesta to hear our food ☝No spoons or any cutlery - which I hadn't thought of at the services! Luckily I had a random disposable fork in my bag 😆 "

"We arrived very late, they left instructions on the reception window and a message here. Very nice to walk into a warm cabin and the hot tub. Plenty of kitchen equipment. Fast wifi, clean bathroom etc. Check out as easy as the check in. Will be back in the summer for sure and stay here"

"Very nice staff, clean and comfortable rooms and the hot tubs with a night sky filled with a show from the northern lights was a huge plus. Breakfast was also very good. I would recommend this hotel to anyone traveling the golden circle. "

"We had the most wonderful stay at hotel Grimsborgir! The rooms were spotless and very roomy. The hot-tub was also a great addition and lovely to be able to use it in the evening after a busy day of exploring. The staff were extremely friendly and the food (both the included breakfast and paid dinner) was amazing with lots of options. The location was excellent in a nice quiet part of Selfoss. We were also lucky enough to see the northern lights from our room!!"
