"The resort itself is beautiful and well-maintained, with great amenities and a relaxing atmosphere—but unfortunately, our experience was significantly impacted by ongoing service issues. Housekeeping appeared to be severely understaffed. Over the course of several days, our room was not serviced despite repeated requests. Each time we reached out, we were assured that our room would be prioritized, but that never actually happened. It became frustrating having to continually follow up without seeing any results. In addition, we had a broken bathroom door that went unrepaired for most of our stay. We reported it early on, but it wasn’t addressed until the final night, which made it more of an inconvenience than something that was ever truly resolved. It wasn’t until we considered checking out early that we were finally able to speak with a manager. To his credit, he was professional, transparent, and genuinely apologetic. He acknowledged the issues and did what he could to make things right—but by that point, it was our last night, so the impact was limited. Overall, while the property itself is very nice, the lack of consistent housekeeping and delayed maintenance response detracted from our experience. By the end of the stay, we were honestly ready to leave."

"Wonderful property over all. Clean, comfy beds, pool area was fantastic. Over all good time. Just a minor run in with the tiki bartender over asking how the food ordering process worked. For that she yelled at me telling me how busy she was. I was asking for clarification. Told her I could just go elsewhere to order food. She was quite off putting and rude. "

"The room was too small to fit two queen beds, and it was very noisy because it was right next to the street."

"Room was clean but room and furnishings were old, run down, and uncomfortable. Metal bed frame had rusted hardware, refrigerator didn’t work, tiny sink in bathroom had virtually no water pressure. Room was way too small for the price. Attractive view of coconut palms and Florida Bay from the room and nice sunset views. Overall needs a major remodel in my opinion. Air conditioning was noisy and because the room was so small, it was either too cold or off, which almost instantly made it too hot. Shower pressure was also too low. Hotel staff were friendly and caring. Ongoing construction of a new pool bar should have been disclosed before spending over $300/night. Not great but not a terrible experience, hence the 3-star review."

"⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Perfect Stay – Already Want to Go Back! We had an amazing stay at Islander Resort and honestly didn’t want to leave! From the moment we arrived (even with a late check-in), Angela at the front desk set the tone for the entire trip. She was incredibly welcoming, fun, and went above and beyond—giving us a full tour of the property and even personally driving us to our villa since we had no idea where we were going. She immediately put us in vacation mode, and that level of service continued throughout our stay. We stayed in an oceanfront villa, which was absolutely beautiful. The setup was perfect—one king bedroom separate from the living area, plus a pullout couch that would easily work for kids or teens. The view was stunning, and having a front porch lounge area right on the water made it even better. What really stood out about this resort is how it manages to feel both secluded and social at the same time. There are so many little tucked-away lounging areas where you can relax in peace, but also plenty of space for larger groups to gather and enjoy. It’s perfect whether you’re traveling as a couple, with friends, or with kids. Speaking of kids/teens—the amount of activities available is incredible. There’s truly something for everyone, which made it a great fit for our family. Another unexpected highlight was the golf cart taxi service around the property—such a unique and convenient touch. Plus, using the Freebee app to get around Islamorada made everything so"
