Wonderful city apartment with breath taking views over Florence.

The apartment, (70 square meter) is situated in the historical centre of Florence directly at the 'Piazza San Marco', one of the most beautiful historical public squares of the city. It is located at the 5th floor (without elevator) of an historical palace (XVIII century). The apartment, which has air condition is totally silent, from the balcony as well as from all windows you will enjoy a wonderful view over Florence and its monuments. From the kitchen (refrigerator, freezer, dishwasher, oven and gas-cooker) you step on a nice roomy balcony where you can take breakfast while enjoying the wonderful view over San Marco Cathedral and the hills of Fiesole. The apartment has furthermore a large living/dining room with TV, two separate bedrooms (one with a comfortable double bed and a special view on the Dome of Florence) and a modern bathroom with shower. All main museums and monuments of Florence can be visited within walking distance.


How to reach us: By car: Highway 1 Bologna - Firenze, Exit Firenze Nord, direction 'centro', direction 'Piazza San Marco'. Parking 'Parterre' nearby at Piazza della Libertà.

By train: Florence main station (Santa Maria Novella) - 2 min with taxi or all buses with direction 'San Marco'.

By airplane: Take a taxi (15 -20 min) or take a bus (Narvetta, the tickets you get on the bus) until Florence main station (Santa Maria Novella), than take a bus with direction 'San Marco'.

Information to the surroundings: The apartment in Florence is located in one of the central squares of the city (Piazza San Marco) in the historic center of town.

This district Cosimo il Vecchio has left its mark. Within the walls of this area once the menagerie of the Medici family was staying. Today it is the student quarter, and during the semester, the Piazza San Marco is always populated by young people who are waiting for the start of their lectures and art classes. The Accademia di Belli Arti founded in 1563 is the oldest art academy in the world, dating back to Michelangelo.

A fantastic location on a convenient Tram stop. Steps away from the Medici Palace and Duomo. Close to restaurants and shopping. The host was so helpful and just a message away.

The property is in a great location in the city! A short walk to most attractions and the T2 tram is just outside the front door. It’s a cheerful apartment with a lot of natural light. It was very clean and comfortable. You’ll love the views from the windows. Helpful hint-Pack lightly for climbing the many stairs.

Great stay

Sisters dream trip

Tiberio’s place was perfect for me and my sister. We each had our own bedroom, the bathroom was a good size, the living spaces were great, but our favorite spot was the terrace, big enough for us to enjoy wine and the views were spectacular. Also, the location was perfect! Tiberio was an excellent host!

Perfect spot in Florence!!

Stayed 3 nights in May 2025. Could not have been happier with the property from start to finish. Great location, responsive, helpful host, and a view of San Marco Square and the Tuscan countryside we will never forget!! Excellent stay in the heart of Florence

The location could not have been better. Took the train to Florence and the T2 tram directly to the aparment. The tram literally stopped at the front door. Had fast Wi-Fi and the apartment was clean.

While the stairs up to the apartment made us laugh each day the view and quietness once in the apartment made it all worth it. Youssef met us to check us in which they accommodated a later check in for us and we ended up being a bit early the hosts were gracious to work around our schedule. Youssef was funny and gave us some background information. The apartment was clean and comfortable. The balcony made everything worth it though in the evening to settle in and have a glass of wine overlooking the world below. Thank you so much for sharing your space.

Wonderful Location and Beautiful Views

We stayed for 5 weeks in this apartment and it was so comfortable and the kitchen worked well for cooking. Great balcony overlooking the piazza with hillside views. Views of the Duomo from the primary bedroom. The host, Tiberio, was wonderful with suggestions and helping us secure soccer tickets for a Florentina game. Would definitely stay there again.

Luxury apartment by the Duomo

We stayed two nights in this beautifully appointed apartment. This spot had luxurious linens, a great kitchen and living room. Very comfy bedroom with a drop dead gorgeous view of the Duomo. The host was accommodating and allowed us to drop off our luggage early. One caveat, there are roughly 200 steps from the street level to the front door. The view was well worth it. Very close to markets and good restaurants. Would like to go back someday.

Breathtaking view!

Really great apartment, excellent location, 2 small supermarkets within 2 mins (recommend Conad over Carrefore for price and variety) also really good takeaway food in the square, arrancini etc. Florence so small everything is easily walkable and of course David is literally your neighbour! Recommend San Marco museum over the road. Apartment is spacious, view breathtaking, air con kept us cool in 37 deg. Beds comfy and apartment is well equipped and we enjoyed the balcony for our morning cup.of tea. Would recommend!

Amazing Views

We stayed for a week in Oct 23. We found the location perfect for food, attractions, and transportation. We especially enjoyed the view of the Doumo from the bedroom and the view of San Marco Square from the balcony. We had wine on it every night. The stairs are real but not an issue for us (we are early 61 & 57). Tiberio was excellent through the entire process.

Wonderful 5 night stay

We had a fantastic stay at Tiberio’s apartment. He was so kind to allow us to drop off our baggage prior to check in and gave us a full walk through of the place. He was warm, kind, and very friendly. The view of the Duomo was a perk as well as a small terrace to look over the piazza. There are many restaurants nearby as well as a grocery store. It was a huge surprise that the museum with Michelangelo’s David was right around the corner! I would recommend Tiberio’s place without hesitation.

Central Florence stay

We loved the location of this apartment and the views were amazing. We had a few issues with cleanliness when we arrived however these were immediately addressed by Tiberio and his wife. Do however be aware of the 6 flights of stairs to get to the apartment, but the views were worthwhile. It should also be noted that the AC was not available at all times. Despite minor issues I would recommend staying here,

Wonderful apartment to explore a beautiful city!

My husband, grown son & I stayed at Tiberio's apartment for two nights while we explored the beauty of Florence. Everything was as described & fit our needs perfectly. We loved enjoying morning coffee on the terrace & the view of the duomo from the master bedroom is incredible. Grazie mille! As the listing mentions, this apartment is up many flights of stairs. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone with mobility concerns but it was great for us. (I earned my gelato by climbing them!)

Nice, comfortable and hassle free rental.

We are very grateful we could have access to this property. It is well located, quiet and has more amenities than we needed. The check-in and check-out processes were simple and friendly. The host answered quickly and their support (including the resourceful binder inside the apartment) were really helpful. We will definitely be renting this property again should we visit Florence in a near future. Traveling often comes with a certain level of stress and hope that thing will go as expected. This rental was for our family comfortable, stress-free and it really allowed us to enjoy our stay and what the city had to offer. Thank you!

Quaint spacious apartment in the heart of Florence

We had a great stay at Florence and glad we had this Vrbo close to many sites. We did know we had 5 floors of stairs to get to our room but wished the AC actually worked better in common living area. Worked great in bedroom. Wasnt too much of an issue since we were out most of day. Tiberio was kind, organized, and informative. We did have trouble with the wifi being spotty but we did okay. Overall, good spot to be near San Marco neighborhood, walking distance to dumo! We enjoyed our stay.

Excellent!

We absolutely loved staying in this apartment. It is beautiful, with gorgeous views from several rooms. From the main bedroom, you can watch the sun set over the city. The balcony was perfect for sitting in the morning with coffee. It also could not have been easier to get to from either the airport or the train station- there is a train that takes you literally to the front door of the apartment, so you do not have to haul luggage for any distance on arrival or departure. Tiberio was a wonderful host - a huge resource for finding anything we need in Florence, and they have a wonderful binder in the apartment with various listings of things to do, restaurant recommendations (we used several, and they were amazing), doctors in the area if needed etc. There are several restaurants within a 5 minute walk, and two grocery stores around the corner. Truly above and beyond in every way - we hope to come visit again soon!!!

Fabulous Firenze steps away from David!

Our stay in Florence was much too short which means we will just have to go back! Tiberio and his daughter Letizia greeted us warmly and showed us around their spectacular apartment. The view from the patio is incredible and you can even see the Duomo from the bedroom window which was gorgeous at sunset and during the night. Accademia which houses Michaelangelo's David is literally around the corner and all the main attractions of Firenze are within walking distance. Many delicious food options of course nearby. The only warning would be for people with mobility issues. It is 5 floors to the top with no lift/elevator but that is the norm in Europe and we were young/capable enough it didn't affect us. Tiberio is an excellent host and kept in close contact with us to make sure everything went smoothly. I would highly recommend his place to anyone wanting to stay in the heart of Florence.
