First, the good points. The apartment is large with seperate areas for the kitchen, bedrooms and living areas. The bedrooms are in opposite ends with each having a bathroom right next to them. The area is very close to where you want to sight see and has a coffee bar on the same block. The apartment is nice, has enough seating for many people and the outdoor space is a bonus. The not so great. The street is super busy with both foot and vehicle traffic from 5am to 1am, all day and almost all night. This is only a problem because the outside noise in the apartment is awful. The windows are thin single pane glass and you here EVERYTHING. If you sleep in the front bedroom hope you sleep like a rock because it is unbearable with the noise. The back bedroom is better, however it has its own challenges. Seond area of concern is the temperature in the apartment. We stayed in November and its cold in Florence and you felt every bit of that inside. The heat seemed to be set at a top temperature that could not be exceeded and we were freezing. With the windows so thin, it just added to the uncomfortable cold. I wanted to love the apartment because it is spacious, well designed, good furnishings and great location, but the noise factor and the uncomfortable temp (which I am assuming would be the same in the heat of summer) just made it not enjoyable. Hopefully owners will make some adjustments and it would be a go to for me. poor communication had to work thru expedia.
