Apartment "Dante "Wp Relais, Florentine Style in the Heart of the City

The apartment is located on the main floor of the building and can accommodate up to five people. It is spread over an area of about 120 square meters where everything necessary for a charming and comfortable stay is organized. The accommodation has a bedroom with two single beds and a double bedroom with king-size mattress with en suite bathroom with bathtub. The large living area is composed of a classic style corner sofa lined with Rubelli fabrics, an equipped open kitchen, a dining area and a second bathroom with shower.
The finishes are treated in detail by skilled restorers and keep the local seventeenth-century tradition alive with period wooden floors, vaulted openings and an ancient marble fireplace. The living area is enriched by ancient Italian frescoes, recovered and mounted on panels.
An ideal plot to immerse yourself in the magic of the unmistakable Italian Renaissance style without forgetting the typical comfort of your own home. Ideal for families, friends or business trips, it offers privacy and large common areas to share a unique experience to discover Florence.
Guests will be welcomed in our boutique, the Wpstore, located in the building next door which in practice is also our reception, where our staff will proceed to register passports before introducing you to the apartment, luggage storage service for arrivals before 'check-in time and for those who want to enjoy the city until the last before departure.

Excellent location, lots of shops and restaurants with easy access to attractions. The apartment was roomy and comfortable. Good air conditioning.Read access directions carefully. We were lucky enough to receive assistance from another visitor when we couldn’t unlock the apartment, because host didn’t respond to our calls or texts.

Good location

The location is nice and central, making for easy access to many of the historical sites we were looking for. There are a lot of steps to climb and multiple hallways to pass through to get to the apartment, which was difficult with young children and large suitcases. The apartment was spacious.

A lovely apartment

We had a terrific stay at this charming place. The location was perfect for walking to shops, restaurants and sights. The only negative was that the Wi-Fi signal didn’t reach the bedrooms.

Great Location

This was the perfect place to spend a few days in Florence. The apartment is spacious and clean and has everything you need to find your way around. When I come back, I will surely stay here again if there is a vacancy.

Great location for extended stay

Our family enjoyed the apartment. So convenient to all Florence sights and easy walk to Oltrarno, train station, and all museums. Gaia was very responsive to questions before and during stay. To note: this is an old building so may have limited hot water for showers at times. The spacious apartment is perfect for families and has all conveniences for eating some meals at home.

Spacious apartment in a great location

Very nice clean apartment in a great location close to train station, Duomo, museums, Ponte Vecchio, high end shops. Bus stops right outside of apartment front door. The only problem we had was with check in since online checking using Vikey is required. We did not do it prior to leaving home and the site requires passport information which I did not want to submit on unsecured WiFi at our previous location.

Great place and location!

We were here for 3 nights in April. The apartment was perfect for me and my spouse, and two teenage boys. We ate in every morning for breakfast, and two nights for dinner - plenty of cookware is available. Beds are comfortable and bathrooms are great. The location is perfect for all you need in Florence - train station, sites, river, etc. All are an easy walk. Host was very responsive and helpful. As you look for the building, know each street in Florence has two numbering systems. One set of numbers is for business, another for residences. Before we knew this, finding the appropriate place was tricky!

Fabulous neighborhood

The apartment is right in the center of shops, restaurants and a short walk to all the main sightseeing attractions in Florence. The bedrooms are in the back of the apartment so it is quiet at night. The beds are comfortable and there is ample space in the rooms and living room. The kitchen is well equipped and although we never cooked in the apartment, would be great if you wanted a light meal. Stefano and the staff at the WP store were very helpful and stored my bags for a few hours after I checked out. My only suggestion would be to put a reading light in the master bedroom as it was quite dark to read. Wonderful property.

This was hands-down the most beautiful apartment we stayed in during our European trip. It is just stunning. The apartment has been modernized but remains faithful to its heritage, showcasing the most beautiful traditional features,The location is brilliant - right in the heart of Florence,easy walking distance everywhere.It also happens to be right next door to one of the best gelaterias! Further adding to our wonderful experience was Gaia's hospitality. She was so kind and made sure we had all the informations we needed to make our time in Florence as fantastic as possible. I cannot stress enough how perfect our time in Florence, and in Gaia's apartment was. It's a beautiful, silent, spacious and cool apartment right in the heart of Florence, and Gaia is really a great host. If I could award 6 stars, I would. If you're staying in Florence, this place is a must!

Great Location

Florence is a beautiful place and our apartment was ideally located to be walkable to everything. We even walked from the train station to the apartment. The beds were comfortable. The only challenges for us were the showers and lightening. One shower was so small it was difficult to use (we are average size persons) the other shower, part of claw foot tub, proved difficult to use. The overall lightening in the apartment was insufficient for us. I used a flashlight I had brought with us to apply my makeup. One set of keys was provided along with Vikey code for access. The Vikey worked intermittently during our stay.

Beautiful apartment with a historic ambience

What a great apartment! It was clean, well appointed with everything you might need, but also feels like you are staying in a piece of history. The neighborhood is conveniently central for walking to all the major sites and feels safe. Our family of four had plenty of room to spread out and be comfortable during out stay. The only issue we faced was the meeting location being closed when we arrived and the WiFi being unexpectedly disconnected during our stay. The first issue was resolved quickly by Gaia's wonderful mother. The WiFi not being available was a significant issue during our stay - the only reason I give this a 4-star rating. Ahead of our visit, Gaia was easy to communicate with and work out our travel details. She was also helpful in recommending nearby restaurants and a small grocery ahead of our visit. If you are looking for a central, secure, and unique property for your stay in Florence, this apartment won't disappoint.

Fantastic location!

This apartment is great for a family of four. Our two kids were in one of the bedrooms that has single beds and we were in the master bedroom that had a large comfortable bed. The bedrooms are towards the back of the apartment, so road noise was pretty minimal. The rooms are spacious and it was easy to use the kitchen if you like to cook. The location is fantastic. The apartment is on a street with very nice retail shops. It seemed like it was no more than a 10 minute walk to wherever we wanted to go. If you walk straight up the street through the Roman arch, you end up at the old Roman center of town. Then you could head north, south, east, or west to any of the main attractions in Florence. The communication with Gaia was great. We never got to meet her, but Stefano was very helpful and got us checked in. I would highly recommend this apartment and if we ever come back to Florence, I will absolutely stay here again.

Great location, dark and gloomy

This apartment has 2 bedrooms and a combination living and dining room. The couches in the living room only seat 4 and need to be replaced. The master bathroom and bedroom have no windows so it is very dark but great for sleeping. We had to turn all lights on to see anything. The bathroom has one small light. A huge improvement would be to put many more lamps in the apartment. The host responded after our frustration with the WiFi being very spotty and it did not work for half of our vacation. They sent out a technician but it took hours to fix. They said they would credit us but have not seen that yet. The kitchen is well stocked and there are plenty of restaurants around. There is no elevator access so there are 2 flights of stairs to get to the apartment. The master bathroom only has a bathtub and the one shower in the first bathroom is super tiny! Don’t drop the soap! The apartment was clean

A Great Time in Florence

This older (150-200 years?) 2 bdrm 2 bath apartment is on the 2nd floor (28 stair steps) of an (overly) safe and secure building. The building itself has probably been renovated several times and the result is an interesting warren of spaces and levels throughout. There is a small elevator but, for whatever reason, we weren’t able to use it and, as 70yr olds, we would’ve appreciated it. The bedrooms were adequate (with individually controlled A/C & heating) but the baths were odd. The bathroom attached to the main bedroom had a tub with no shower and no shower curtain while the shower in the other bathroom was incredibly tiny, maybe 2.5x1.5ft. The main living space was fine - bright and nicely appointed and the kitchen was roomy and sufficient. Had a little trouble making the clothes washer work but eventually figured it out. Would've been nice to have some sort of binder or file of info from Gaia about the apartment and Florence. Good location for walking to various sites, not so good if you’re trying to find a taxi. In general, in Florence overall it was tough to find a taxi except at the train station. Other than the preliminary contacts through VRBO, we had minimal contact with Gaia while we were there. However, Stefano, who manages the family clothing store two doors down, was extremely helpful on our arrival and on a number of occasions while we were there. The description of the property and pictures are very accurate. The unit is in a great location, clean, comfortable, and had good internet. Found a really cool local food store but couldn't find anyplace to buy paper products. We'd go back to this property if we went back to Florence. It was good value for the money.
