Simultaneously modern and ancient, London is a favourite for history enthusiasts and culture-hungry tourists. Whether ambling through Trafalgar Square, taking in a show at the Comedy Store, or touring Buckingham Palace, visitors crowd every corner of this city year round. Given that this is such a popular tourist destination, cheap flights to London are easy to find.

Best time to go to London

Peak Season:

June through September is the busiest period, as the climate is typically temperate and mild and makes for a great time to visit Hyde Park or Regent's Park, or take in some of the spectacular flora at the Kew or Chelsea Physic gardens.

Shoulder Season:

Tourism wanes during the months of April and May, and September through October, but it’s still an excellent time to visit, as flights to London are reasonably priced, and the city is still bursting with activity, such as the Baishakhi Mela celebrations in May, the London Film Festival, and the Thames Festival in September in October.

Off Season:

From July through August many of the locals leave the city in search of warmer weather. Despite this, visitors still crowd the city in order to take part in the Notting Hill Carnival, attend concerts and shows at the Royal Albert Hall, or take a walking tour through the Tower of London. It is important to book ahead in order to get the best price on flights during this period.
