"If you are considering this area for your stay, you MUST consider the Coromandel Treasure. We have stayed in many rental properties and this is by far the best we have ever stayed in. It was spotless, spacious, quality in every decision Lyn made. It is well equipped and Lyn went beyond to leave us a welcome package and a wonderful breakfast bar. Which helped so much to get us through the first morning until we could go to 4 Square, a short walk away into the quaint town. Top Town Fish and Chips...

"It was my first visit to Waikawau area where there are two adjacent beautiful bays, Waikawau Bay and Little Bay. The holiday home, Kaka Cottage we stayed at was truly a nice place to enjoy comfort and tranquility as it is situated in the top forest and the host couple is very kind and friendly. They are peace loving people. We really enjoyed staying at the house. I recommend to all."

"We enjoyed the setting with a beautiful beach for bird watching, beach combing, collecting kai moana across the road from a cozy and well equipped batch with a wonderful garden. Great swimming beaches near by. It pays to stay close and explore the area, which has lots to offer. "Absolutely loved this lil slice of native bird and bush paradise! So close to the coast so your spoilt for choice for beaches. Do recommend bringing your bug spray and citronella candles but honestly this lil cabin is such a vibe! The kiwis calling and Little Bay were highlights for us - and being able to bring our old Labrador mate on holiday with us. So special. Thank you again and we will definitely be back!"

"fabulous location. I felt that there was a big gap between info online and then the further info provided by the host and the reality. The two upstairs bedrooms were fine. The two downstairs incredibly musty. We could not use the bedding from. downstairs. Thankfully we had brought some with us. No internal access between upstairs and downstairs made it difficult with the makeup if the group, I.e. children and adults. It was also very very rainy so that added to the problem if no internal access...

"I'd say it's a nice place, but they should clearly state that even if you book a room there won't be any blankets or towels. This is extra. I've never heard ablut that. We needed to pay for that extra.. Also the service lady said she'd soo kind to come back to give it to us, which was odd in that situation. Besides that, still a nice place to stay, but in winter it's not the warmest in the rooms."
