? We dislike coffee from urns. Cereal bowls toooooo small. A big thank you to the staff for wonderful service in what must still be trying conditions as outside of building is maintained and repainted. Bonus is that work men only start at 9am. No doubt grounds and road markings will be redone after work on building completed."

"We were desperate to find a place to stay after the Cook Strait ferry docked later than expected. Wellington booked out! This place was run down, chewing gum behind the curtains, heater didn’t work, and the women’s shower wouldn’t heat up! Shared bathroom facilities but we knew that when we booked. Restaurant and pub attached was quiet but the chef wasn’t available. Front staff made us a toastie and was very helpful.

"The building is absolutely gorgeous on the outside and the lovely man that greeted my partner and I at the front desk was so sweet and friendly!! We were very excited to see the room in person as the pictures looked very nice, but once we settled in there, we were a little disappointed... The bathroom was beautiful but the shower was so dirty!! There was multi-coloured soap scum in the grout on the walls, lining the top edge of the bath where it meets the tiles, and all around the handle to turn...
