"The hotel was nice, but there was no parking at the hotel. I had to park way down the street on a busy roadside. This could happen to you as well. It was a bad first impression and an inconvenience."
"Nice stay here for 4 nights, bed was nice and big, air con was great, view was lovely, few 3 small issues, carpets were heavily stained in room 112, lipstick stains on duvet cover, and the shower cubicle door was broken but was quickly rectified by staff, did not eat at the hotel, as have preferred places in and around the area to eat, Tesco's just across the road and a Costa.
would happily stay again."
"The room was clean and comfortable. The mattress was a little dipped in the middle but comfy enough.
The staff were lovely and friendly.
The parking at the back of the hotel was very good and convenient.
The breakfast was very tasty and of a good quality and served on a hot plate which kept and the food was hot too. Overall in a prime location. Excellent."
"Fantastic setting. Beautiful building and comfy beds.
Did not enjoy the curry but breakfasts were great.
Loo handle in room 14 fell off a few times and cistern was slow to fill. Shower was fab and the big fluffy towels were super. Very helpful and friendly staff."
"Stunning location, clean room and overall good value for money. I would've scored higher for amenities if the room had a fridge and all the plug sockets worked.
Fascinating history, you must read the history of these ancient grounds before you take a walk, especially around the 12th century ruins.
The staff were lovely but unfortunately the restaurant on the Friday was shambolic, with barely anything available from the already small menu, it took ages to arrive and was missing key ingredients when it eventually did. It's only a small restaurant too and I felt for the young staff doing their absolute best."
"We stayed 1 night but were very pleasantly surprised by the polite helpful staff, excellent quality of the food, and cleanliness of the room.
The cleanliness continued throughout the Begelly Arms.
We will certainly stay again ,when in the area"
"Damp smell in the bedroom was less than ideal. Otherwise, decent. Nice room (bar the smell) but tiny bathroom. Pool table and darts in the bar. Pub grub food but was done well. Well located. Free parking."
"Breakfast was perfect, and cooked well.
Check-in there was no one behind the bar to check us in. We waited for 10 mins and It was like the Marie Celeste no one in sight."
