Had a great time at the cabin. I loved that the drawers/cabinets were labeled for us; it made finding things in the kitchen so easy. The home itself was cozy and comfortable for 6 adults. We had a great time and i would 100% consider going back.
We stayed here while attending a conference at the Tenaya. The home was well appointed and comfortable for a group. The third bathroom was a huge plus!
The house was clean and welcoming although a bit dated. Carpets could use a cleaning. The hot tub looked normal in the pictures, but leaks and doesn’t have seating. Felt like a kiddie pool sitting on the floor.
An excellent hill top cabin to base your Yosemite trip. 10 minutes drive to the south entrance of Yosemite (more with traffic into the park). Cabin is beautifully decorated, and was more than enough room for myself, my wife, and our parents.
We enjoyed our stay in the Tree Top Cabin in Fish Camp. Very close to the park and about 50 minutes to the Yosemite Valley. The manager/owner was very responsive and coffee, paper towels, linens, laundry detergent were provided. Loved the deck for relaxing after a day exploring the park. A large sized dining table and access to record player was utilized daily. We enjoyed our stay.
Really enjoyed this mountain house. Great location. Well-appointed. Beds were super comfortable. Enjoyed sitting out on the deck in nature. Hot tub was very clean and easy to use. Would return!
Wonderful two night stay at Tree Top Cabin. The house had everything we needed for a very comfortable stay. We had planned to spend two days in Yosimite, but our vaca was impacted by an early spring snow storm the day we checked in. Both Host and Homeowner provided excellent communications regarding road conditions and check in on day one. Kids had a wonderful time playing in the snow around the house for the half day we were snowed in and the fireplace and endless supply of firewood kept us warm. Def a 5-star stay!
We enjoyed our time at the property! The property manager was incredibly responsive and helpful! The property was very clean and the beds were comfortable! It is very close to the entrance of the park.
Things to know:
1) not a lot of dining options close by … bring food.
2) while close to park entrance, minus Wawona or Mariposa, it’s about an hour drive to the sites
3) there are a lot of stairs to enter the property. I mention it as I was traveling with my 80 year old parents. I believe they mention it in the description… nothing wrong with that, just something to be aware of!
We loved our two night stay. The home was perfect for our group. The deck with fire pit and hot tub were wonderful. My only complaint is that on our last morning we woke up to what I assumed was a blown fuse. Many of the lights and plugs were not working. We checked the fuse box but saw nothing wrong. I did text the number on the card in the binder but never got a response. We were checking out so it wasn’t too much of an inconvenience but it would have been if it had been our first day.
Owner clearly goes the extra mile for their guests
The owner of this awesome vacation rental clearly goes out of their way to anticipate their guests needs and accommodate them. Drawers and cabinets are clearly labeled making it easy to find items needed with owner going above and beyond the basics on items provided saving us a lot of $ vs. having to purchase/replenish staple items!
Super convenient to Yosemite just a couple miles away. Internet worked great! Really good sized spaces (hot tub, deck, kitchen, living room, bedrooms, 3! baths, Washer/Dryer, etc.). We loved grilling on the deck (quiet and private) and dining at the large oval kitchen table as an extended family. Master suite location gives oversized additional room and privacy. All beds comfortable.
Excellent communication before, during and after the rental. Well taken care of home - all 6 in our group loved this rental from the teenage son to grandma. We would rent again in a heartbeat.
Thanks for sharing your property with us while visiting Yosemite!
Very nice property / Convenient to Yosemite South entrance
We just returned from a 3-night stay at the Tree Top Cabin. The house is very nice and spacious. The main bedroom is quite big and is on one side of the house while the other 2 BRs are on the opposite end which provides a lot of privacy. There are 3 full baths with 2 on the main floor and one at the garage level. The kitchen has all needed appliances and utensils if one chooses to cook. There's a washer/dryer on the main floor which makes it convenient as one doesn't need to lug the laundry up and down the stairs. The firepit outside is really nice and we used it on 2 of the 3 nights.
The VRBO check-in instructions weren't up-to-date and we weren't able to open the garage door as instructed. However, we called Cheryl the property manager and she was able to provide the correct code so we could get in. The property is easily accessible off Rte 41 and is in a very quiet location. Mariposa Grove is only 4.9 miles away and Bass Lake/Oakhurst are very easily accessible as well.
Everything was very clean and all the appliances worked well. Overall we enjoyed our stay and would love to stay here again when we're in the area.
We flew into Fresno Airport which is about 11/2 hour from the Tree Top Cabin.
Lunch was at Delicious in Oakhurst. We stopped at Raleys Grocery for food for the week. Nice store, full service with deli.
The house is 2miles from the South Entrance of Yosemite National Park. Keep in mind, you are still good hour from Yosemite Village once you enter.
Construction is underway inside the park so be patient and plan accordingly.
The house is spacious. Kitchen fully stocked (electric stove). The grill worked perfectly with a spare propane tank.
There are plenty of books on Yosemite.
Uno, cards, board games! The record player was fun to play.
The temps over 100 degrees during the day so we could not take advantage of fire pit or hot tub.
Having the washer and dryer was such a convenience.
There is a trailhead right past the driveway. We hiked about 4 miles, round trip.
Tips: Use mosquito spray, Get to the park early. We would leave the house by 6am The mornings heat up quickly and the breeze disappears. Parking limited because of construction.
Enjoy your stay, we certainly did!
Had to defrost fridge to get it working and fill the hottub. Really very minor things, you can tell time and love are put into the property with lots of litte nice touches and amenities. Location rocks. Id definitely stay again.
