The staff are so unbelievably friendly and nice and make it a point to greet you like a welcomed friend. The location is ideal and walkable to many of the great spots in downtown like Julian Cafe and Romano’s. The staff really make the Lodge such a cutesy Hallmarkesque vibe. Highly recommend!"

"Comfortable, delightful country house on acres of property. Quiet and peaceful, they have almost everything you would need, minus actual groceries. There was even a pair of binoculars we used to supplement the telescope we brought for stargazing. The hot tub was a hit with all of us."

"This was a girls vacation, just me and my 23 year old daughter. We loved the stay. Everything is just as beautiful as it is in the pictures. The house was very clean. The area was very quiet and peaceful. It was a 10 out of 10 for us. We would love to stay here again. We traveled to the San Diego Zoo and Sea World. It is about 1:45-2:00 hours to get there so not a bad drive at all. We explored the area. We were in a front wheel drive vehicle. I would suggest 4 wheel drive if you like to explore the trails. The sand can be very loose is some places. The night skies are beautiful for star watching, if even right from the hot tub. We definitely want to go back some day. "
