"Overall, the property has been updated nicely with comfortable beds, decor, furniture and fixtures. Note, the lobby and entire front of the building smelled like marijuana all evening. Our room was not ready at check-in, but we were easily transferred to a different room. Sadly, there was no toilet paper, no towels and no handsoap. Staff apologized and replenished. There was a tiny amount of trash in a receptacle not emptied from previous guests - gross, but not a huge problem. Thankfully, the room was very clean and nicely updated. New curtains are needed as the existing ones are faded. Bedding, pillows and beds were excellent. The kitchenette was new and nicely appointed with a coffee pot, small fridge/freezer, two top stove, sink and cabinet. The bathroom vanity, toilet and sink are brand new and even had an exhaust fan for humidity. Heating and fan unit worked well in the room. The common area was clean and welcoming. There is a guest restroom w/shower, kitchen with stove, microwave, pizza oven and tables. The pool and hottub were wonderfully renovated. Pool temperature was chilly, but reasonable. Sauna was great. The space has a cute, tropical beach theme including new composite wood furniture as well as a patio sectional couch. The pool room is a perfect space for birthdays and other gatherings. The updates are nice, clean and welcoming - a much needed option for Nisswa lodging now that renovations are happening and the property is better maintained."
