Lovely Riad in Fes
We spend 2 nights in this splendid and beautifully maintained Riad. The staff are helpful and friendly; they arranged a guide to show us around Fes. We also had a Hammam and massage in their spa, which was lovely. Food is good and they have a bar, so you can get a beer or glass of wine. I would stay here again

This Riad is past it’s sell by date.
Do not be seduced by this hotel’s claims to fame - that Bono stayed here once. He did but that was almost 15 years ago. This place today isn’t what it was then. We have been traveling across Morocco for ten days now and our stay at Riad Yacout left us deeply disappointed. Nowhere did we stay in all of Morocco that required such immediate attention as this Riad. Our room was in dire need of attention - not to mention the noise from the tour group diners that kept us awake. Our toilet didn’t work and the bathtub was corroded and the tiling were moldy ( pictures attached) The staff was hovering and nosy and constantly in our face with questions like “where do you go?” “What did you buy?” “How much did you pay?”we were so disappointed and saddened at the service, which was nothing in line with the reviews that we couldn’t wait to leave the Riad.

The staff was wonderful but our check-in was not great as the first room did not have a functioning AC. We had to switch rooms a couple of times, then got a free upgrade.

The Riad El Yacout is a larger scale Riad very centrally located to the Medina and Blue Gate. The property is well appointed. The rooms are nice and mostly modern but lack small touches such as coffee service, kettle, safe and adequate shelving. The breakfast was decent. The highlight of the Riad El Yacout is the personnel. All staff were gracious and very helpful whether arranging transport, arranging knowledgeable guides for touring around the Medina or hauling heavy bags up 3 flights of stairs. Particular kudos to Marcos and Khadijah who went above and beyond to help us. Overall, our stay at Riad El Yacout was very pleasant and we would return.

I’m so happy I chose to stay in this magnificent place. I have traveled around the world and this place is breathtaking. It’s so unique! The staff is very friendly and they make you feel very welcome since the moment you walk in the door. They greet you with a delicious hot tea. The food was delicious and breakfast setting was perfect. I was feeling a little sick from a day before and the hotel made me some magical tea and I felt better within minutes they even offered to send somebody to get me medications if needed. The location was walking distance to blue gate Medina. Also very close to train station as well go the tombs. Hotel was clean and smelled amazing. I will go back to visit soon! Thank you all for your lovely hospitality. This place feels like HOME!

Nice place, great hostesses and attendance. Hot water in our room takes about 10 min to come. No elevator, be prepared to go up stairs, but they will bring your luggage’s to your room. Nice location in the center of Medina.

While the Riad, it's breakfasts and the location were fantastic the staff was very sketchy, we asked them to book a car service to Chefchouan for us on our last day, and the man who was supposed to be the concierge took $250 in cash and disappeared. No ride showed up and they claimed something had happened to the driver but it was clear from the drama that that wasn't at all the case. Later we demanded our money from the hotel, not sure if they were robbed by their own employee and were able to get another hotel to get us a ride for half the price. It really put a damper on our entire experience because we expected the staff to be honest and they weren't we are pretty sure they cheated a lot of people by overcharging etc.

Treated like royalty!!!
We did not realize it was Ramadan when we planned our trip to Morocco. Despite this, we had a grand time. We were in Fez after a 3-day private tour from Marrakech. We were the only guests and they upgraded us to the master suite which was total royalty. The only drawback- we go thru 37 or 38 steps each way! But it was well worth it. The staff was very nice and all smiles. We really love our stay!!!

Marcos, Kareem, and the rest of the staff (there is a staff member that wore a bow tie that was extremely helpful but I didn't get his name) are very friendly and helpful. The property is beautiful with its intricate mosaic floors and walls and carved details. The breakfast is a typical Moroccan breakfast (bread, jam, cheese, orange juice, coffee).

Treated like Family!
Rad El Yacout is one of the best Riads in the area! Omar, Marcos, and the rest of their staff will treat you like family. We were welcomed with tea and biscuits upon arrival making the check in process much less stressful. I had some great talks and exchanges with Omar and Marcos and learned a lot about the culture, customs, and sights of Fez. On our last night we were worried about getting a taxi for the next morning since our flight was very early. They went out of their way to find a driver. They really go above and beyond here to make you feel welcome, relaxed, and at home!

OUTSTANDING! BEST RIAD WE STAYED AT IN MOROCCO
Of all the Riads we stayed at in Morocco, this was THE VERY VERY BEST!!!! Unbelievably beautiful. The food was outstanding. And the service was off the charts. Marco, who seemed to be in charge of many things, went utterly out of his way to make sure we were comfortable. Every riad we stayed at after this one fell short in some way because of the very high standard these lovely people set.

The well located Riad in the Fez Médina is beautiful, very clean and very safe. The staff are responsive, helpful and kind. We especially appreciated the attentiveness of Houda, the Riad manager, the service provided by Marcos, and the cooking class provided by Nezha translated by Idriss. Wonderful All Around Moroccan Experience
I stayed for 3 nights at the Riad El Yacout, and got a wonderful and true Moroccan experience. Service was fenomenal. Carlos went above and beyond to serve us and Houda, the manager, made sure we were having a great time, all the time. We enjoyed eating at the restaurant, which had delicious food and enjoyed tea and cookies daily at the amazingly beautiful courtyard. Breakfast was delicious, plentiful and served with love. We became friends with the staff, and said goodbye with hugs and kisses! I don’t remember ever doing that when leaving a hotel. I highly recommend it!

Perfect in almost every way.
Stay was excellent. Had a bit of trouble finding the place with our car at first, but Zack came out to street to find us and with the entire staff, from there made the whole experience wonderful. Beautiful space, fantastic breakfast, and exceptional service. Our only regret was not coming in summer so that we could enjoy the outdoor courtyard and pool more. The only small detail we noticed is that our reservation had free parking but in the end we had to pay. Overall, highly recommended!!

This historic residence was our first introduction to Morocco and when the heavy wooden door swung open to reveal the serene courtyard and what might possibly be one of the country's most humble and capable managers we knew at once that we had made a good choice. The strength of this property is evenly divided between the ornate and spacious riad and their professional yet personable staff. It is the kind of place where instead of shaking hands on departure you just wish you could hug them. We are extremely pleased to have experienced this mystical riad.

Amazing service
Unequivocally outstanding service at this hidden Gem in Fez. I have traveled in over 20 countries. I have to say that this place had the best service of any hotel I have been to. It is hidden at the junction of the old city and the Médina in an unassuming alley. The staff made our entire family feel at home and at ease. The manager came to greet us at the door. Our luggage was whisked away. We were offered refreshments while we completed the requsite paperwork to check in. The first night we were there, my wife needed an adaptor for her cell phone to charge it overnight. So, I called down to the desk to ask for an adaptor. Perhaps the language barriers or phone interference altered the language phenomes to some extent. Long pause. You need an adaptor? Yes. What kind of adaptor do you need? “ I just need an adaptor. “. Long pause. Ok. We will call you back. Three minutes later I get a call back. “. OK. We will have an adaptor in your room in 30 min. Thirty min later a Doctor shows up with three assistants, the hotel manager and two hotel staff. I explain that we only needed a voltage adaptor for a cell phone. Many apologies and explanations later we understand the situation. What was most reassuring in this entire humorous experience was the level and degree of concern for their guests which they evidenced by their actions. No charge. Terrific service. Would recommend to anyone.

Beautiful Riad in the Medina
This was a beautiful Riad that was easy to find, as it's only steps from one of the entrances to the Medina. I checked in and was elated to get a room upgrade. Even more elated to learn that it was to a room that Bono from U2 slept in several years ago. The courtyard area was lovely, and ate a wonderful breakfast there in the morning. The staff was wonderful -- with great senses of humor! I'd recommend this Riad to anyone traveling to Fes.

Wonderful stay!
We stayed at riad El yacout for 4 nights. Everything was wonderful, from the delicious dinner our first night, to a wonderful breakfast every morning, to the kind and attentive staff. The room was large, very clean and comfortable. We came in one night soaked from the rain and the staff immediately took our jackets to dry and set us up by the heaters with tea. Badr and the entire staff were so helpful and welcoming for the whole stay. I highly recommend riad El yacout and will stay there again if I return to fes!

it is good when it works
It is indeed a beautiful Riad. The photos show it. If you have mobility problems and cannot use stairs make sure they know it and reserve a room on the ground floor. The pool and the court yard are fantastic. It is hard to find it, it is on a small street not accessible by car, so make sure you ask them how to find it. We had them pick us up at a parking garage where we left our car for the 3 nights. The location is pretty fantastic cause it is in the Medina and you can walk anywhere. In the end we had a good experience there but from the 3 nights one was not good because our room smelled like sewer (we had reserved a simple suit - not the Bono Vox one - but come on...). After we contacted Expedia, the staff gave us a fantastic room but we were pretty much ignored for 20 hours. Elevator did not work. The wifi also did not work in the first 20 hours in the part of the hotel where we were - and we had complained 3 times. So, yes, I guess it was good but if you have a problem you need to escalate it pretty fast. Besides this strange start, everybody was friendly but the women in the hotel staff were extremely efficient and willing to accommodate our needs.

Dear sir, Thank you very much for staying with us and for your feedback. In what concerns the internet, unfortunately that is something that the entire old medina suffers from. the infratucture of the old medina is very poor and it causes the internet to be spotty sometimes. As for the plumbing problem, our techical team did fix it in the morning but since the problem persisted and you complained about it again,I contacted you right away and offered to change your room immediately and upgraded you to a suite. As for the lift, The installation is still in progress as it was installed that week. Thats why it is not operational yet. Other than that, thank you for praising our riad and our staff. We are glad that you enjoyed your stay. Regards, El yacout team
