"The hotel is showing its age. Hall carpets were very worn, a bit of paint would make the hallways look a bit fresher. The pool was difficult to use as it was very crowded and no available chairs or chaises. The room we had was excellent and in good shape, only issue is the toilet and sink were very low to the ground and uncomfortable to use. The views are great, the 2 minute walk to the beach was excellent. Lobby coffee and tea was a plus. Overall it's about Location, Location, none better. Quick walk to Rehoboth Ave, the main street. The Restaurants we ate at were all fantastic, interesting and well prepared meals."

"Princess Royal is like a resort property rather than a standard hotel. The rooms are like a condominium equiped with a refridgerator, a range and standard kitchen appliances. Princess Royal is great for family vacation. Whenever we decide to visit Ocean City, MD, we will definitely seek Princess Royal as our vacation stay."

"Loved the walk out suite right on the sand! It was so convenient to get to the beach, pool, and bar! Having a full kitchen was also really nice! We really love this hotel and can't wait to return!"

"Hotel staff were so polite! Some of my friends had forgotten toothbrushes and they were able to provide some. Towels were plentiful and they had no problem with us asking for more. The location is really amazing, easy walk to the beach and the hallway to get there has a beautifully painted mural and chairs to sit and enjoy the ocean view from afar. It’s also just far enough from the boardwalk that the beach near it wasn’t too crowded ! For all that I think Henlopen is worth it and I would definitely come back!"

"We will definitely be back even with a slow elevator. They have a coffee pot in the room but they serve a continental breakfast but the trip up and down the elevator was time consuming. I would bring my own coffee pot. We had a problem with our fridge and freezer and they replaced it asap with a new one. The beds are so comfortable I slept the best I have ever slept since being home. Good value for the money. It definitely needs an update but it was great. If we make it back next year we will request the lower level. The pool is great too."
