Cozy home within walking distance to downtown Fayetteville. (All restaurants are less than a mile from home.) The Gorge Cottage is a mile from the New River Gorge Bridge and the Visitor Center. Close to all whitewater rafting companies, hiking, rock climbing and mountain biking. We are life long residents of Fayetteville and can’t wait to share our town and home with you.

Clean, Convenient & Cozy
Great little house for a couple or small family! It is convenient to New River Gorge NP activities including trailheads, bridge, and white water rafting. It is also close to restaurants and grocery store. Would only recommend this home for a short stay of a few days as there is no washer/dryer. Parking is a bit awkward as it is behind the home, and you have to walk steeply downhill on uneven terrain to get to the house entry.

Perfect Place!
This house provided the perfect place for rest and relaxation after a day of adventures! It was clean, well-equipped with everything we needed in the kitchen. The air conditioning and water pressure were fantastic. Sarah is a great host. We hope to stay at this house again soon!

Great home near New River Gorge
Great host that was very helpful with our trip planning to New River Gorge National Park. Property was well maintained and close to the park and downtown. Very comfortable setting and we particularly enjoyed the porch for morning coffee and evening relaxation. Would definitely stay here again and would recommend to others.

Fall Foliage Trip
My husband and I travelled from Texas to hike in the New River Gorge National Park. This house is perfectly located for accessing the park. The neighborhood is quiet and very near to downtown Fayetteville. We have stayed at many vacation rentals and this one was exceptionally clean and well stocked. The foliage was unbelievably beautiful this year. We would definitely stay here if we visit again.

Property perfect for our needs
So clean would definitely stay here again felt very homey. Beds comfortable loved the keurig and ice maker on the fridge. Only thing concerning is the property owner contacted us by phone after we had dropped our belongings off and then left for dinner to alert us that the previous guest had left a loaded Glock handgun in bedside drawer. 😳. The owner offered to have someone come to the rental and pick it up. However my husband is comfortable around guns and we didn’t feel comfortable having someone we do not know come in and take the loaded gun. I would highly suggest in the future housekeepers check all cupboards and drawers to be sure no belongings are left behind. Had this been a family with young children staying it potentially could have not been a safe situation. I know things happen but just cleaning staff doing an overall check would be beneficial.

As Advertised - Wonderful Stay
The home was perfect for our stay. It was clean and close to everything. We did the Bridge Walk, hiked many trails, and went to the Coal Mine in Beckley. Would definitely consider staying again on our next trip to the New River Gorge area.
