"This is a converted bank to guest rooms. Room was decorated with an “antique” style. Everything thing spotless, shower a bit small. No staff on premises. Checkin at local eatery quick and easy, but I felt the reception person was a bit condescending. Only had to see him once, so past that. Small fishing town , not much to do. Nice meal at El Grillo."

"The hotel and the location are amazing, walking distance to everything. Great views of the mountains and the whole town. Only problem we had was getting a place to have breakfast, the hotel recommends Hotel Aldan but we showed up at 8 in the morning and they did not have breakfast available (there was a group that was having breakfast) but they told us that they didn't have for the 2 of us. Only coffee was available?! Other than that a great stay, but be aware of maybe packing your own food in...

"We planned on using the convenience of this guest house as a quick overnight on our way around Iceland. We should have used it as an anchor point. Terrific location, interesting town, amazing hiking all around, and the room was great. The full facility, including a terrific community kitchen were modern and meticulously maintained. All cooking equipment and dining utensils are there. We should have groceried up and spent 2-3 days launching from there "

"We had concerns before we got to the hotel based on the reviews but the apartment was awesome! The beds were ready for us with kids’ beds ready too and the kitchen functioned very well for us. The bedding was soft and felt pretty new. It was a comfortable stay. The location was great too. We can just walked to the lake with a bunch of unique houses and views. "

"This was hands down the worse hotel I have ever been at. The soap dispenser had 1/8th inch of soap, there were cracks in the wall, the floor was dirty, the beds crunched when you sat on them and the icing on the cake was when someone tried to get in our room late at night. We barricaded the door after that. We were scheduled to be there for 2 nights but we left after one. Horrible!!!! Learn from my mistake! Run! We asked for our money back for the second night but I know we will never see it....
