Comfortable room, friendly staff, very basic but immaculately clean.
As a previous review stated there is nothing grand about this hotel!! I am surprised it passes inspections it is so rundown with daylight blowing through the balcony doors were the wood has rotted and broken away. On arrival our room must of had about 20 flies buzzing around in it. Even they had gone by the time we returned having found it was there or nowhere to stay.
Having said that the bed was comfortable and the sheets were well laundered and lovely to sleep in. But my advice to anyone is that this is just a very poor hostel not a hotel, think seriously before booking.

Disliked: Property conditions & facilities
This old pub was probably built in the late 1890’s. And not has been spent on keeping it good. But despite that it was functional for what we wanted , which was just an overnight quick stop. The facilities are shared. And the floorboards do creak a lot, but at $200 for 3 people it was good and the staff, a lovely Indian family, were very nice.
Shared restrooms. Feels like living in a college dorm room. The room and Beds are clean. It's more a hostel not a hotel.

The bathroom was shared, there were not enough blankets, and there were insufficient amenities like toilet paper. It was more like a hostel than a hotel. Nonetheless, it was cheap, and the staff was pleasant, so for the price, it is acceptable.
This place was a disaster. Check in was not good. We had to wander through the place to find someone. There is no reception are. The place is run down and in desperate need of repairs. How in the wall. Dirty, carpet is disgusting. The only reason we stayed is because we had no other options.

It was like a step back to the late 1800s. It did the trick. Need more or better pillows.
When I arrived at 9 PM, I found out that my room had been given to someone else. The staff member checked every vacant room while I waited, only to later tell me that there were no available rooms for me. He then offered me a single room, which I immediately declined because I had booked a king-size room for 2 people. He explained that my room had been taken by somebody else. We ended up waiting for 20 minutes, and not once did anyone apologize for the situation.
Way too noisy as walls are very thin. We heard snoring from one room and people making lots of noise going into their rooms at all hours. Also $102 is too dear for just a room when you had to walk down the hall for toilets and showers, probably would have got a better deal at a backpackers. Also bed very hard and only got 1 towel for 2 people.
The doors aren't very noise-avoidant so me and my partner ended up waking up very frequently as some noisy tourists marched up and down the hall and called each other without regard for others at 12:30am.
There were also a number of dead flies in my room and on the curtains, which wasn't particularly pleasant.
The staff worker was nice and friendly, but the lack of a designated reception space to check in felt quite unusual to me, and it took me a few minutes to work out how to check in as the only instruction I could find was on the front door outside the building.
The hotel is in need of updating, basic facilities are lacking, (lamps and bins in rooms, access to tea and coffee facilities, sanitary bins in ladies bathrooms) the rooms were clean but in need of decoration.
