"Greatly enjoyed our stay here for a week in February. The house was home base for us as we visited the three nearby National Wildlife Refuges. House was very clean and stocked with all essentials. Clear communications with the host added to the positive experience. Was third winter we have visited Albemarle/Pamlico peninsula to view wildlife. When we return, we will definitely try and book this lodging again."

It is isolated, so a visit to the grocery store on the way in will save you time if you think you will be going out for groceries later. I thoroughly enjoyed Birthday House. The host was very responsive, and the amenities were great. "

"Host did not respond to my message. Heat did not work when we got there, we turned the heat on and all kinds of bugs / wasps came out of the vents. There was no running water or sheets on the beds. "
