Such a cute little place, comfortable, and with so many little extras - a tea/coffee/hot chocolate station, snacks, chocolates

We stayed here while we explored the Fairbanks area. Conveniently located. Highly recommend in lieu of a hotel.

Warm and cosy stay which gives home away from home feels. You will have everything you will probably need for your stay. Everything is laid out very well and Becky is very responsive.

I can't say enough about this VRBO, best we have ever stayed in. The drive from town is easy, the area is just secluded enough that you are close to the wonderful things Fairbanks has to offer but are surrounded by Alaska - woods, birds and some elusive moose. The large wrap around deck provides a comfy location for viewing the Northern Lights (spectacular). The many windows allow you to sit by the wood stove and watch as snow covers the spruce and birch trees. The owners/hosts have renovated this beautiful older home so that the amenities are all modern, the kitchen is wonderfully stocked (utensils and spices), furniture is comfortable and all of this is surrounded by the sweet history of family (homemade afghans, family photos, books, games and Alaskan decor, house plants and birdfeeders. There were only two of us but the house has plenty of room for a good sized family. The hosts are delightful and truly care about making your stay the best without being in any way intrusive. Thank you Becky, Grandma Julie's legacy lives on through you!

This is the nicest VRBO we have ever stayed at.
This felt more like we were guests at someone’s home than renting a property.
The house is immaculate, there are live house plants inside, and a bird feeder outside.
So many nice touches that we don’t usually see like: all the silverware matched, the pots and pans were high quality brands, Becky provided whole bean coffee and a coffee grinder along with the coffee maker, a gift basket and a basket of snacks, there are toys for kids to play with, and on and on. She truly provides everything you need.
This house deserves a 12 out of 10.

Pros:
- Communication with the host is easy, the host is extremely friendly, helpful, and respond super fast. Also provided us with plenty of recommendations for things to do in the area and food.
- Location is close to Fairbank for all your shopping needs/activities, yet it's also far enough where it is quiet, peaceful, and enjoy a bit more privacy.
-Property is clean, spacious yet cozy, and the beds are comfortable. Kitchen provided all the spices and condiments you need to make home cook meals if you desire.
-Lookout deck is amazing, it comes with a chance to see wild life (saw a Moose during my stay) and Northern Lights
Cons:
-Beware!! Everything is actually so awesome that you'll be sad that you have to leave

The property is just like the listing. Very clean and well taken care of. There is tons of space for everyone to spread out. Loved that we were able to see the Northern Lights from the yard during our visit. Loved that we weren't in the middle of the city but only 15ish minutes for everywhere we wanted to go in town. Appreciated some snacks and treats provided. The host is very communicative and easy to reach when needed. Would highly recommend people stay here. Would stay here again.

This property was just what I needed. All the touring and city noises were getting depressing. To stay at Becky's place in a country setting was beneficial. Great place, close to Fairbanks but out of town where you can just enjoy nature. All around great place, extremely clean and a very accommodating host.

From the time we got there until the time we left Fairbanks we felt very at home in this lovely place in the woods. Becky was very attentive even coming to check on us after we got stuck in the snow near the cabin. (Be sure you get a 4 wheel drive vehicle in the winter and don’t let the car rental agencies tell you otherwise!) The home was beautifully decorated and cozy with a wood burning stove, close to town but in the middle of a gorgeous forest with gorgeous views from the windows and balcony. Everything you could want was supplied, treats when we got there and hardly had to buy anything but food. Definitely would love to come back in the near future. Becky was the supreme hostess!!

The pictures and property explanation don’t really do this place justice. These folks are pretty new to the short term rental thing, they don’t realize how awesome it is. The house is very cozy and clean, doesn’t come though in pictures. I think if they painted trim or walls a little differently to compliment the tile and update the look of the place in the kitchen/bath, people could better understand. Extremely well cared for property, awesome fireplace, comfy beds, ideal location just outside Fairbanks. The gift basket from the host was so thoughtful, kitchen had dishes and cooking by basics (spices). The little birdies outside were very cute! Car plug-in was also super helpful, it was so cold outside. We didn’t see the northern lights because it was cloudy but this would be a good place to do that!Thank you so much!

Grandma Julie’s Getaway was perfect for our week. First of all, Becky was a wonderful host. Her attention to details was the best that we have experienced in all of our many VRBO stays. The home is not fancy but, was extraordinary clean and cozy. We only used one bedroom and found it very comfortable. All bedrooms have a queen sized bed, which was perfect for us. Becky had a coffee/tea/cocoa bar that exceeded our expectations. There were plenty of spices and other basic cooking needs and some staples. There was plenty of kitchen utensils, dishes, and cookware. The bathroom had nice shampoo, conditioner, and body wash. There were countless fluffy white towels and wash cloths. The living room had several house plants and big windows where we watched birds feeding at the bird feeders. Fresh flowers were in a vase on the dining table. There was an extension cord, snow shovels, snow sled, and ice melt available for the cold and snowy days. Exterior lights were very bright and welcoming when arriving in the dark. The neighborhood was quiet and only a few cars went by on any given day. We felt like we were further out of town than we really were. It was only 10-15 minutes to Fairbanks. Home is only about 2 miles from the main highway. Side road to the house was fairly snow and ice free. We had no issues with a 4x4 truck. I would absolutely stay here again. One minor thing was we unknowingly failed to lock the door. Perhaps add door lock instructions to documents.

We had a great time at this location. The house is well-equipped with everything you could possibly need for your stay. The location is quite and secluded enough to give you privacy and allow for a relaxing stay. We were lucky to see and photograph the northern lights right from the driveway on multiple nights. Lastly, our host was not only welcoming but very attentive and checked in with us often to ensure we didn’t need anything extra. It just doesn’t get better than this!
