On the face of it this looked like an excellent property unfortunately the listing did not give all the details.1. The bathroom was one of the reasons I chose the property, it has a walk in shower something my older parents are keen to have. What was not clear was that the bathroom was on the ground floor so we had to come downstairs in the night to use the facilities. From a safety point of view this meant leaving lights on.2. The carpets where not comfortable to walk on and we were requested to not wear shoes upstairs3. Bedroom 2 had no hanging space and no hangers4. Outside space was lovely but not enough cushions so seats were uncomfortable.5. We had no handtowels for the bathroom6. The combination boiler tripped out on our second day, getting this fixed and waiting for the water to heat up meant that we lost half a day of our holiday. The company got the owner to contact us to remedy the issue and he told my father that this had happened before. His reply back to me by text when I explained the situation had messed up our plans for the day of "Sorry for that. Hope you make the best of it..." felt disingenuous.7. In summary this was expensive for what it was and very much style over substance.
