"Property was clean. Front desk clerk was rude and gave me the key to an already occupied room. I walked in on some one! Never been this embarrassed in my life!"

"I booked this listing 2 months ago. I have used Expedia for flights & stays a lot in the past, so was not hesitant to use again. I never received any emails or messages about check-in procedures. Second clue this was a false listing was I could not find the property. The address number did not exist, it lead me to a different address. The listing outside picture did match the address, so I stopped. There were several ladies going into the property, so I asked them about their stay. They said they had booked the entire house, so I left. I tried to contact the property owner several times via phone and messaging with no luck. I finally contacted Expedia to start a case. They were helpful, they listened to my case, tried to contact the owner with no luck, and proceeded to start a refund on my booking. Do not book this place!!"

"Beds were comfortable and rooms were spacious. Other than that, I have no positives. The pool and workout room were both out of order. The property is very old and in bad need of an update. Carpets are stained, bathtubs rusty, lamps rusty. Breakfast has a coffee pot, waffle maker, cereal, and apples/bananas, that's it. The only reason we stayed is that it's the only hotel around, and we needed to stay in this area. Would not stay here again."

"The home is very run down and so sad to see as it could be absolutely charming. Definitely overpriced and I was disappointed overall. Furniture is in keeping with the period but highly uncomfortable to relax on. Bedrooms are layed out consecutively- you have to walk through bedrooms 1&2 to reach bedroom three. Debris/dirt on dishes in the cabinet and coffee cups on the shelf. Felt unclean/unused for sometime. Kitchen sink backed up when tried to wash dishes the first time. Lighting is exceptionally dim in the bedrooms. Area did feel safe and the home is a nice stroll to the antiques fair we wanted to attend. "

"Excellent little getaway, very friendly host. Amazing views, a awesome pool & stocked pond to fish in. We were able to go check out the casino & near by bayou's. There are very friendly dogs that greet you every time you pull up. The place had everything we needed & was very neat & tidy. "

"Property is beautiful There is a nice bar and beautiful seating area in the bar. Beautiful historic hotel; it faces main st. and walking distance from sites."
