Overall was a good stay. They addressed the lack of fans after being contacted. Windows and doors are old and do not slide easily as well have gaps. Hot tub worked well.
We brought mom & dad to estes for their 64th anniversary. We all use to come to Colorado every year but Rocky Mountain National Park was always one of our favorite spots. Bear Lake got conquered once again. Both my parent
Sunrise Hideaway was delightful! The manager was frie, helpful and quick to respond. The television was not useful, but really who goes to this area to watch tv. With our party being at the max, there should have been bedding for the pullout downstairs. With a 5 day stay there needed to be more dishwasher tabs. The kitchen accessories were more than adequate! Our overall experience was lovely. The addition of the birds and wildlife just made our trip more enjoyable.
This was the perfect backdrop for our gathering of adult kids. With hiking just down the street, parks for lounging and playing spikeball, and some historic buildings like the Stanley Hotel, there was something for everyone. There were places to gather at the house like the front porch deck with a spectacular view, the hot tub under the deck, and comfy couches in the living room. The pull-out couch was not ideal. I'd suggest bringing a blow-up bed instead.

Christmas time
Entrance is very dark at night. Two lights on deck do not work--just used our phone flashlights to see. Had issues with bugs in the house. Found a tic on bed pillow and there were bugs here and there throughout, but it wasn't terrible or unmanageable. Internet didn't work and took a couple days for them to fix it since things are run by a company not an individual. Great location, pretty easy to find and everything is comfy with an amazing view.
This was my first VRBO booking. It was so easy! It couldn’t have gone any better. The house was perfect for our group. It was clean and well equipped. The views are amazing as well. The location was absolutely perfect for attending the Estes Park Wool Market. Definitely would recommend this place!
We really enjoyed our stay at this property. The location is excellent, with a beautiful view from the front porch that made mornings and evenings especially relaxing. The home itself is spacious and welcoming, and we appreciated the thoughtful touches that made it comfortable for our family.That said, the property could use a little extra attention when it comes to cleanliness and upkeep, as we noticed a few maintenance issues during our stay. Nothing that ruined the trip, but worth mentioning for future guests.Overall, it was still a great place to stay, and we would happily book here again. With just a bit more care in cleaning and upkeep, it would easily be a 5-star experience.
We had an awesome time staying at the property and would definitely visits again! The only complaints we had were the snow on the front porch could’ve been cleaned off better, when we used the hot tub the snow from above kept dripping onto us. Also all the lightbulbs leading to the front door were all broken and still inside there sockets so definitely had to be careful walking up that know one slipped or tripped on the stairs. Everything else though was good!

Not impressed
Had to call management after check-in time to get door code; TV didn’t work entire time there and management wasn’t able to resolve; no cushions on deck chairs; neighbor left note on our windshield to park our car on the left side so they could park in the garage. Don’t know if they were the owners or what; bed was very hard. Overall not a very comfortable place compared to other places we’ve stayed at;

Unusual surprises
The maid didn't wash the sheets and pubic hair and residue was found all over on two beds out of three. The grill was on fire midway through heating up and flowing outside of the grill. Scary! We were fortunate to have found a fire extinguisher in case it was needed but we were able to turn it off. We also noticed the batteries were taken out of the smoke detector in the dining room.
The key lock to open the door was difficult and multiple attempts were made to be able to enter. The house is definitely haunted. You can hear someone stomping on the stairs and walking around in the middle of the night. In fact, I felt it on the second night when I fell asleep watching a movie in the living room. This is a kindred spirit trying to get our attention and I can assure you that I didn't sense a menacing one. I recommend the owner get a new grill and ensure the maids wash the sheets and blankets after every visit. Put the batteries back in the smoke detector and fix the code key lock for ease of access and safety. Also, the kitchen light bulbs were out, as well as several other areas in the house. Leave extra lightbulbs in the pantry. I could've easily replaced the others myself. Let there be light!
