Rooms are comfortable and amazingly fresh and clean. The bar restaurant offered great food and the restaurant waiter was very helpful, friendly and attentive. His English was good and he enjoyed practising it with us.

The hotel is out of the way from major cities, but it is worth the detour. Spent the night on our way to SDR from MAD (2 adults, 2 kids). Extremely clean. Very friendly, attentive, staff. Good food..

Cleaning lady needs an eye exam and I left dirty
Weird. The reviews were pretty good, but the place is odd. I think it is set up for bus tours, not independent travelers. First, positives: spacious halls, spacious room, comfy bed, adequate free breakfast, very quiet, staff very nice Negs: First, it's not really near anything. Which was fine for us as we were passing through so needed convenient location over neighborhood. But still, it backs up to an industrial park and really nothing else around it. Second, not the same beds as the Hotels.com listing. We were missing a twin bed, but it worked for us. Next, I think the cleaning lady needs her eyes checked. The deep clean was good, but the surface clean was bad. For the most part it was fine, but there were long, black hairs on the toiletry basket in the bathroom. So, the maid had to check the basket to see that it was full (and it was), yet there were these 12" hairs across and in it. I don't know how she missed them. There were also hairs on the bidet (um, ick?), under the "Sanitized For You" paper. And a short and curly hair on a pillow case. Yes. A short and curly. The restaurant was charging 30 Euro for dinner that should have been 15 by the look of the menu. And town was shut down. So if you get there and want to eat, plan ahead. The water was weird - it keep blowing air. Plus, the shower periodically ran brown water while I was in there. I was pretty happy to get to our next place to get a clean shower. We wouldn't stay here again.

We stay at this hotel 4 times a year. The hotel is used by the local community and has plenty of parking. The restaurant and cafeteria is always very busy and noisy, the atmosphere is amazing. Staff are very friendly and service is fast and efficient. however the bedrooms are quiet and the sound doesn't carry. For some unknown reason this time we were upgraded to a suite.

Overnight in Esquivias.
We were travelling back to Santander and we stay at this hotel regularly. A nice surprise when we arrived as we were upgraded to a suite. The hotel was very busy Saturday night, but the staff looked after us and the food was great, quite large potions, great steaks and salads.

We enjoyed our stay, a bit far from the city, but we knew its location before booking, it is a clean and comfortable hotel, few little patches of mould on bathroom ceilling on top of the shower. All in all we’ve been happy with our stay, good breakfast options, we would choose to stay again, good value.

Clean hotel with great staff. Since it's a 4 star, I was expecting to have a kettle with hot drinks in the room. Also breakfast was bit basic for a 4 star.

Spanish family, lively hotel.
We've stayed here 4 times a year for the past 5 years. It's our favourite hotel when travelling between Santander and the costa Blanca. The hotel is full of locals, police, workman, families. It is not quiet, but it has atmosphere, good food, comfortable rooms, lovely staff, and good value for money. Excellent parking facilities.

Convenient for passing through Madrid
Room was booked through Hotel.com whilst travelling north from Alicante to Santander. It proved a convenient stop-off hotel of good quality and excellent food.

Excellent hotel
Nice and comfortable room. Excellent breakfast with professional and kind staff. Wifi is satisfying and price for the room very competitive. However the location is quite difficult to find. The hotel's adresse cannot be found or indicated with GPS only the city and quite far from Toledo.

Hotel Hidalgo - daytrip perfect!
The hotel is located outside a city and offers views of the landscape, which there isn't much of. Because of the absence of things to do in the city, this hotel does get packed at night with locals and leads to a very interesting and fun evening. The staff works hard to make your stay pleasant and the food it good. The morning buffet does slack in their offerings. The city is small, but does offer a couple of places to eat and drink. Other than that, there isn't much to do in the city. The reason for choosing this hotel was to use it for day trips to Toledo and Cuenca, which worked out perfect.

A Great Deal!
A great deal if you have a car. It's about a half hour outside of Toledo and right off the highway. The only confusion is in the address since it's not located in the town of Esquivias but, instead, on the way to Suseña Nuevo. Loved the breakfast, local vibe and the quick ride into Toledo.

Almost no English is spoken here.To get into Madrid,you must drive to a nearby town and take the train.Our room was clean and aged.The worst breakfast ever,even the local travellers were at a loss as to what to eat.I was given warm milk with a fly in it to make my own powdered chocolate milk.You can smell the pig farm next door at night.We felt totally ignored by staff and left a day early,forfeiting a night's stay.

We were in total Awe
For anyone with a car and wants to visit Madrid,Toledo and Salamanca, this is the place to stay. We never knew that it is close to Warner Bros. World and within easy reach of the town of Aranjuez that is listed with UNESCO as a world heritage culturel landscape. I would put it up there with places like the Hermitage and other famous palaces in Europe. There are trains and buses to Madrid with a stop near the museums and they cost 3 Euros each way.

Good clean modern hotel with good facilities
We used this hotel for a one night stay while travelling by car from the South of Spain to Northern France, so although it is not close to many tourist attractions this was not a problem, and suited us fine. It was clean, comfortable and provided good food. It could be used as a base for visiting Madrid, but I don't believe there is any convenient public transport, so probably only suitable if you have your own transport. It seemed popular, probably with locals mainly, as a place to hold functions such as weddings and confirmations, several of which were underway the night we stayed (a Saturday).

Very average hotel.
Allocated room (118) directly above noisy restaurant. Constant scraping of chairs particularly a problem. Not sure about 4 star rating as no pool and very basic breakfast.

A very friendly spanish hotel
This is a really lovely hotel. Staff are great, remembered us from last time. Nothing was too much trouble.. Hotel is used by the locals as well as business and workmen. Extremely generous with food. Offered us eggs and bacon for breakfast instead of just continental. A plate of 8 fried eggs and another full of bacon quickly arrived. Our friends were really impressed by the service. Well worth the visit.
