"The hotel construction started in 1907, and opened in 1908, so there is a lot of history behind the building. I liked the architecture of the hotel. My fiancé's sister was with us to take a look at the room. She is 82 and in a wheelchair, but there were ADA accommodations for her. She did not stay with us in the room. Some complained the rooms were musty, but I didn't experience that. I only stayed for one night and I would stay there again."

"I had a 2 night stay here. The first night was in a queen room. The room, in my opinion, is too small for the cost. The second night was in a queen "suite". It wasn't too much bigger than the regular queen. The beds and pillows were very comfortable. Nice hot water in the showers. Clean linens. Air conditioning worked well. The mini fridges didn't feel very cool at all. My biggest complaint is neither room had a coffee maker. Whoever heard of a hotel without a coffee pot in the room? I don't like having to jump right out of bed into my clothes to run down to the lobby for my coffee in the mornings. Very inconvenient! Even the cheap motels have a coffee pot in their rooms. Breakfast was decent. Breakfast area could be kept a little cleaner though. This is the second Holiday Inn that I've stayed at that had a broken elevator. Really convenient to downtown Pineville. Easy to get into and out of the property. All in all, it's not a horrible place to stay."
