The stay was just like what was described and pictures. Very clean, modern and had a heat pump that was adjusted just right especially during this winter time. The bonus was having a private spa pool and hot pool, it was perfect time to relax after a tiring day doing the Tongariro Crossing. The procedure to this self check-in suite was easy and instructions were clear. One minor down side is the mirror in the bathroom was rather large and protruded too much, which was a little challenging to wash my face with. I would definitely come back again!

The Expedia description of property's facilities is confusing and needs to be re-written. There is no kitchen and there is no fitness centre and no full service spa, only a spa pool/jacuzzi. There is a shared fridge in a communal area, but no kitchen. There is a pool and spa pool, but no fitness centre. There are no balconies and private corridors, only a deck/veranda which all the room doors open on to. The Expedia description says: "Along with a full-service spa, this smoke-free motel has an outdoor pool and a 24-hour fitness centre (where is the fitness centre and full service spa?)", "All 6 individually decorated rooms feature free WiFi and private yards (where are the private yards?)", "Rooms open to balconies" (no balconies, only an deck/veranda which all doors open on to), "Guests can make use of the shared/communal kitchen." There is no kitchen, just a fridge. Again, there are no balconies, no private yards, no private corridors, no full service spa and no fitness centre. The facilities that are there, are very nice, no complaints about that, but I feel the description needs to be updated. Thank you for a peaceful stay.

Fantastic place! Perfectly located, loved the warm pool and spa after hiking all day! The little extras (teas, snacks) were most appreciated! Would definitely recommend!

A little gem, small but great pool, hot tub, lots of freebies in the room, wine coolers, fridge and snacks. Yes the room is small but two suite case stands a king size bed and a hot shower is all you need. The highlight was the view from the pool, a beer and glass of wine hot pool and stunning view is all you need to know about this accommodation. Just book it!

Thank you for your feedback. We offer free unlimited internet for our guests - most people have their own devices these days so they can freely chose their entertainment. We also try to make it clear that dining out is the only option when staying here. There is no kitchen, we do provide a fridge for chilling beverages. Reading the Pre-arrival information that we send is essential to make sure you're fully prepared for your stay and know what to expect.

Look at the sky from the swimming pool on a cool n
I had a nice time at this hotel where I spent three nights..Although it's close to the railway I slept well every night. and on my last evening had the chance to meet Bryan and Miriam,the housekeepers who live close to the swimming pool and had a nice chat with them.They are really friendly and invited me a Glass of Wine.

I found the room very small, basically a double bedroom with en suite. No opening winfow/s made for very stuffy room. A large fan supplied. No chair to sit on in room, seats around pool, generally other guests too.long verandah in front off all rooms meant constant foot traffic. Evening view from pool great, no ther views.

Out in the sticks, but that was/is a good thing! Heated pool was fantastic to soak in after a hard day of skiing on a fabulous Ruapehu spring day.

Wouldn’t recommend this place. Paper thin walls and I could hear everything in the room beside me. Took me 3 hours to get to sleep.

Hot spring swimming pool!
I rated staff as Excellent although I didn't meet any of them! The cabins are unmanned but the room and key were ready and waiting so I was straight in on arrival. It's simple but I really liked it. The hot pool was bliss!!

Fantastic place with glorious heated pool!
Fantastic place, the heated pool and jacuzzi were amazing after a long walk and it is a great place to stay while doing the Tongariro crossing. Only criticism is that there is no opening window in the bathroom so if you have a lot of damp clothes (as it rains a lot) than the room can get filled with condensation.

Fabulous pool but rooms are tiny and very noisy
Fabulous, large heated pool with the most wonderful views of ruapehu and the surrounding mountains. The owners provided two mini bottles of fizz and a couple of hours by the pool with a wine was truly magical. The not so good: rooms are tiny, very basic and not noise proofed - we could here word for word our neighbours FaceTime with her mother and loud music was being played past 10Pm at the pool. The owners have apologised profusely and assured us it was a one off but it tarnished our stay nonetheless. Rooms have no windows - s so the only way to ventilate is by opening the front door. Tiny sinks. Imagine cabin type basic accomodation with the the addition of a luxury pool and hot tub.

Had a great two night here. After a long walk the spa was perfect as the rain started to fall on the first night. Second night we had some wine and watch the sun set with a few visitors from overseas. Totally recommend.

Lovely and clean
Lovely place. Be warned it is in the middle of nowhere. The closest place for food is around a 10 minute drive away. You get some complimentary items in the room, including water, wine and chocolate. You have access to a fridge, ice and more water. Pool towels are also provided for the got tub and pool, both of which were great. I used both after the tongariro alpine crossing. If you are a light sleeper, be warned, the freight trains do go through the night. I would most definitely recommend this place and would ahppily stay again. Parking soace was helpful and wifi was great!

Very small room ,No reception
The place looks new but .Didnt know that the room gonna be so SMALL ,there is no fridge or microwave in the room no AC only fan which is not a big deal only if it’s a good weather outside but once it’s hot the room is so small without any windows only your door so you won’t have air to breathe.They have jacuzzi and a pool which is a bonus .But again the rooms are so small include the restrooms and shower I was traveling alone and it’s still was small for me .I feel I paid more than what it’s room really worth .

We are looking into resolving the warmth issue, not something we thought we'd have to contend with being in one of the coldest places in the country! It will be ideal in winter. Not much we can do about the room size, sorry, they are best suited to those who travel light :-)

Für eine Nacht
Ordentliches Zimmer mit Self-Checkin, toll gestalteter Außenbereich mit Pool und Spa-Pool. Leider war das Waschbecken sehr klein, so dass man sich nicht ordentlich Waschen konnte ohne das gesamte Bad zu fluten. Zudem konnte man das Badfenster nicht kippen und dadurch nicht Lüften, was besonders in der Nacht aber ganz angenehm gewesen wäre. Alles in allem ein kein Schnäppchen für das was man bekommt, aber gut gelegen, um den Nationalpark zu erkunden.

Luxury Motel.
Small but clean and fairly equiped rooms. Complimentary gifts upon arrival and nice people doing the maintenance. The external hot (38 degrees) swimming pool and SPA are very good. A bit pricey but other accomodation are also quite expensive in the area without so much benefits. Town is a small 10 minutes drive with shops and restaurants.

Neues Hotel
Die Zimmer sind sehr neu. Did Einrichtung dementsprechend super. Im Gemeinschaftsraum gibt es einen Kühlschrank, wo man seine Sachen unterbringen kann. Das einzige Manko, keine Stühle im Zimmer (wegen Größe)oder vor der Tür.(überdachte Veranda). Daher sind ablage Flächen sehr rar. Kein Kleiderschrank...für länger als zwei Nächte nicht zu empfehlen. Der Pool und Whirlpool sind spitze!!!
