The property is beautiful and remote, but you know that from their website. The staff was terrific. The only thing I would like to add is it would be nice to have a full length mirror and a box of tissue.

This was a lovely location to explore Mt. Rainier National Park. At the end of the day, the restaurant offers a variety of options, all of which were very good.

These are very basic accommodations. Probably ok for a ski trip if you don’t spend time in the room. The ‘better’ rooms in the quicksilver lodge include a sink in the bedroom not in the bathroom! Feels like a dorm room which may be fine for motel but not what you expect for over $300 a night! Floors and walls are thin, so expect to hear conversations in the room next door and every every movement above - creaking and stomping all night long. Not for light sleepers

Terribly overpriced. The buildings are old and run down. We had a mouse in our room and asked to be moved to another room. The staff are very nice, but the place is a dump.

Our buildings are older, but we strive to make sure every room is clean and comfortable. Being in the middle of a forest pests sometimes do gain access to the building. When this is reported we immediately try to catch them. We do apologize for your experience.

Let me first mention this isn't a fancy hotel, but it doesn't advertise itself that way. I wasn't looking for fancy. I was looking for clean and convenient and it met those needs. My room was dated in its design with the sink in the sleeping area versus the bathroom and had blinds instead of curtains. Thankfully the room faced west and the morning sun wasn't an issue. That said if you need a room that is pitch black dark in the morning, you may want to look elsewhere. The staff was friendly and helpful with information about the local area. The free breakfast located at The Alpine Inn was lacking in options. Everything is carb based, waffle maker, pastries, etc. Nothing with protein except hard boiled eggs. Knowing all of this I would stay there again if visiting the Mt Rainier area.

only big dislike was no A/C, so if it's a hot summer day you might not wanna stay here. Big like was it was walking distance to gondola to the top of Crystal Mtn. which has a great view of Mount Rainer with a bar and Restaurant at top. Staff at hotel and restaurants very friendly

Property is fine. It’s over priced for the quality of room you get. Box spring mattress, terrible shower, not even a hairdryer. The location is nice but you’re stuck eating at the overpriced resturaunt across the way. The gondola near by is definitely worth it though. This place is desperately in need of major renovations to make staying here worth it

Thank you for the feedback. Our restaurant pricing does reflect the cost and logistics of getting food delivered to a remote location such as ours. That being said we always try to price our menu items as reasonable as possible. We do have hairdryers available at the front desk. Thank you for the feedback.

Village Inn is well-located and clean. But at $250/night inclusive of fees and tax, I feel like you should get some A/C or amenities. There's a fridge in the room but no hair dryer. All kinds of outdoor construction and tree removal going on. Free continental breakfast on weekdays at Alpine Inn.

Thank you for the review. In the past we have never needed A/C. It seems however as the years go on each summer keeps getting hotter and hotter. We are in the very early stages of evaluating if we can retrofit the rooms for A/C as is. We do have hair dryers at the front desk. I am sorry about all the construction going on I live up here and hear it every day. We hope that you will come back and stay with us again!

Thank you for the feedback. Since we are located in a very rural area there are very limited options for us to provide Wi-Fi to our guests. Verizon and T-mobile both work very well on the mountain. We are looking into options to upgrade our guest wifi. Thank you!

Village Inn at Crystal Mtn
the check-in process and person were friendly and easy. The room had a small refrigerator and a Keurig coffee maker with good coffee (Peet's). The the property description did not indicate these would be available. The website did indicate that a restaurant and bar were on the premise. This was absolutely not the case, the restaurant and bar were a significant walk. It was not clear from the website that stairs needed to be negotiated to get to the room. The bed was well made and bedding clean. There was someone else's hair on the shower walls and soap scum around the bath tub. the table in the room was dirty and the window blinds were very dusty. The room was very loud starting early in the morning due to heavy equipment movement.

The Village Inn has one of the best locations on the mountain. The building itself is a little dated but some of the rooms have been updated. Always clean and the staff is quite helpful.

Although the walls are thin, we found our remodeled room perfect for the two of us. Our coffee machine overheated and broke, but the brought a new one right away. Shower water was hot (hairdryer really weak though). LOVED the ease of parking and walking everywhere. Also, you can't get ski tickets on the weekend without an ICON pass, so the vouchers were a godsend. Cruddy snow, but awesome time!

The internet being down for the whole weekend was a surprise- I've been to Crystal many times and had access to cell service and internet but not this weekend! The bed was very uncomfortable- terribly thin, squeaky, and the middle was so sunken in my partner and I got stuck in there! Very friendly staff, well organized.

We stayed in September, its a great location on the mountain and close to many trails, etc in the national park. The building we stayed in was recently updated inside and was clean and comfortable. The only negative we perceived is no recycling on the property, so we packed ours out.

Thank you for the great review. We put a lot of hard work renovating the rooms at the Quicksilver and we are very happy you enjoyed the room. Although we do not have a recycling program we are committed to reducing waste. There are no plastic bottles sold anywhere on the mountain. It's the little things that count!

Went to this property 2nd week of September for hiking in Mt. Rainier National Park. Stayed at this ski resort property due to relatively close proximity to the National Park. The property smelled bad/moldy in common areas and room. The sheets on one bed were discolored and dirty. The TV was small (20 inches) and the reception and picture quality was poor. The TV remote did not work, so had to change channels by getting up and pressing buttons on TV itself. No front desk staff member was present when I went to check out. Waited 5 minutes for him to show up so I could check out and then no apology from him for not being there. Only one restaurant and bar open at property in summer. When walked to to restaurant and bar area (restaurant upstairs, bar downstairs) young guys standing and sitting outside smoking marijuana. Might be better option for young guys winter ski vacation due to ability to walk to ski lifts and probably less concerned with my complaints listed above.

Thank you for the feedback. We cannot tell if you called to the front desk to report the issues with smell/or the sheets/remote. We would have fixed all issues for you immediately. We are located in a very rural area of WA state. It is very difficult to get decent TV up here in the mountains. We have a selection of DVD's you are able to check out for free at our front desk. (The TV's have a built in DVD player) When we only have one staff member at our front desk, sometimes, we have to step away to start a load of laundry, or attend to a guest issue. We always put a sign up letting you know we will be back in 5 minutes. Having dining options, hiking trails, and a gondola to the top of the mountain was wonderful. The Village Inn was a bit outdated, but the bed was comfortable and necessities were there. The location to Mt. Rainier's Sunrise entrance was great.

The Village Inn needs 100% updating. Although we can appreciate aging, the carpets were tattered, the walls need painting, the ceiling in the shower show water damage, the remote for the t.v. doesn't work, and you can hear creaking and anyone walking above our room. But the bed was comfortable and the view magnificent. It was a high price $30.00 room.That sums it up!

The front desk staff was friendly and very helpful. The accommodations were expensive for the age / size. The room / BR were very small. It was very clean and the beds were comfy. The stairs to the loft area were steep and small. The loft area is OK for kids. The Lobby was nice with lots of seating, a large gas fireplace. The gaming table was fun, too. Dining at the Alpine Restaurant was OK; staff friendly/ helpful, food OK. Great access for the Gondala and good hiking options at the top

I stayed at the Quick Silver Lodge. The room has one queen bed on the ground floor and two double beds in the alcove on an upper level. The bathroom smells of sweat, and the coffee machine does not work. Also, there is no sound proof so you can hear your neighbors. Even though there's no air conditioning, the room is cool. The best part of this resort in the summer is the gondola ride to Summit House restaurant. The views of Mount Ranier and the Cascades are amazing!
