I am on a 36 day trip throughout many locations in Japan. Unfortunately, i only booked 2 days here. This was, by far, my most favorite part of my trip. Thank you for such great hospitality. I will be back. Bleu
The walls are paper-thin, you can hear neighbor's TV. There is a smell of mold in the room. The shared bath was not clean. The futons are very thin as well. The communal toilet slippers were disgustingly dirty, and no other slippers inside the hotel were provided (you walk on very old carpets and floors in the hotel hallways barefooted). There were no large towels in the room, and they were not offered, we had to ask about them. The breakfast was Ok, nothing spectacular. While this is a traditional Japanese hotel (ryokan), which often have thin walls and a shared bathroom, we have stayed in much cleaner and quiter places many times before. This one seems to cater to tour groups (buses) of tourists from Japan, may that is why the quality of accomodation/clenliness is so low.
