"I initially had some issues with this facility, with the room and bathroom cleanliness. However, management rectified it and the remainder of my stay went smoothly. Property is somewhat dated. The replacement room was orderly. Good location, staff were attentive and polite. As far as a hotel rating goes, it is about a 2-2.5 star facility. The breakfast buffet is planned based on guest nationality, when I tried it, it was mainly an Indian breakfast, but I found items I liked to eat! Lack of an elevator has to be disclosed IMO for safety of the guests and disabled guests. Food choices can be limited based on occupancy, primarily for Lunch and Dinner. There are many eateries in the city of Kandy nearby and they are easy to get to."

When is the best time to go to Elugalla?

The best time to visit Elugalla, Sabaragamuwa Province, Sri Lanka, is during the dry season, which generally runs from December to March and from June to September. This period offers consistently pleasant weather, with less rainfall and plenty of sunshine, making it ideal for exploring the region's natural beauty and outdoor activities. You'll find the trails for hiking to waterfalls and tea plantations more accessible and comfortable. For those planning to visit the nearby Udawalawe National Park for wildlife safaris, the dry season is particularly advantageous. The animals tend to congregate around water sources, making them easier to spot, and the park roads are in better condition.
