"A simple and quiet location in the heart of everything "Door County". The only thing holding it back from a 5 star is a light continental breakfast. Rooms were clean, grounds were well maintained, and a variety of simple ammenities."

"My husband and I decided to spend our honeymoon in Door County and we’re so grateful we could book here! Was a true hidden gem. The host was so incredibly sweet and accommodating. She gave us a personal tour of the property and provided such good dinner spot, and activities to do while visiting. The room was in perfect order, even had the cutest balcony. Parking was a breeze as the directions the host provides are clear and to the point. Was an amazing stay. Anything we needed the host was willing to accommodate and even had bonfires for us visitors with some wine. Was a great time and I highly recommend! The area is quiet and clean as well. 10/10!"

"Three were reading lights on either side of the bed. Problem was that they were on a switch on the other side of the room, which turned on those two lights and two more lights just like them on the other side of the room. If you wanted to use it as a reading light at night, you really couldn’t because all four lights we’re on and the other person with you couldn’t turn off their light if you wanted to continue to read. The way it was wired and set up made absolutely no sense."

"We had a great stay! The property was very clean, the staff was friendly and welcoming, and everything was well maintained. The layout of our unit was perfect and made our stay especially comfortable. The only downside was that while the air conditioning kept the unit nice and cool, it was quite loud. It made it difficult to fully enjoy relaxing on the balcony because of the constant noise. Overall, we had a wonderful experience and would definitely consider staying here again."

"This property was so cute and comfortable for four adults, with two of us on the main floor and two in the loft! The window AC unit cooled us down well in the summer weather and having access to firewood and outdoor space was awesome."

"The cottage was conveniently located. The home was clean though there were quite a few bugs, which wasn’t unexpected in the middle of the woods, but several dead ladybugs (maybe beetles that look like ladybugs?) were around bed posts. There is NO WIFI. I will never make the mistake of not looking for this amenity again when I rent through VRBO. It would have been fine if there was actual cell service, but there was not. And cell service throughout town was already spotty. This lack of WiFi made it incredibly difficult to plan activities and use maps on our phones. Truly, it was so frustrating. We had to go into town to buy a cup of coffee to use WiFi. The 2 window AC units worked well. One downstairs in the living room so the bedroom door had to stay open for circulation, and one upstairs in the loft. The smell in the loft can only be described as if you were visiting a museum where they take you into an old log cabin and they tell you, “this is what it was like to go to school in the 18th century” (you can smell it reading my description right?). With the AC unit running, the smell eventually dissipated.Ok, this one was a biggy. The water smelled really rusty making showering an unpleasant experience. I’m surprised no one else has mentioned it in their review. Our hands all smelled like rust each time we washed them. No one wanted to shower and we brushed our teeth with bottled water. The hosts were on top of it and messaged directions to check in well in advance."
