"The cabin was perfect for a quick getaway. Very clean and tidy, close to Boone and many hiking trails. Renters should be aware that the road leading to the house is gravel and quite rutted in spots, especially right in front of the house, with lots of loose gravel. This made it tricky to make it up the very steep driveway with only 2WD, I spun out a couple of times in my RAV4. "

"We and our chocolate lab stayed three nights. The hosts created such a lovely environment that we had the best time. We commented that this was the best property we have ever stayed in. The house has stunning views, comfortable beds, beautiful finishes, clean and wonderful hot tub, fully stocked kitchen, nice, clean bathrooms and hot showers and even stunning views from the fire pit area. The host had even provided wood and things for the fire! There were extra towels and linens if needed. We just cannot say enough good about the host of this property. They even sent us messages to make sure we can find the cabin before arriving. We have lovely memories of seeing 4 white tail deer and an owl outside, of the beautiful sunsets, coffee on the deck, marshmallows at the fire pit and pot roast in the cozy cabin. We are planning to return in fall. So thankful to Cary the host and such an amazing vacation and recharge time!"

"The cabin was beautiful but the best part was the beautiful view. Nothing but mountain range all around and a small view of the Beech Mountain ski slopes. The company was very nice and checked in on us. We would love to stay again."

"I know many have said it already, but the pictures don’t do it justice. This home is huge, we never felt on top of each other and we had a lot of people from toddlers, preteens, teens and adults. Beds were comfortable, place was clean, the location was perfect for a hideout but also close enough to town if needed. We saw deer, it snowed three times, we felt safe and comfortable and the views were spectacular. The only downside was the oven; especially for thanksgiving week. It doesn’t seem to get hot enough and things take much longer than you’d expect. Thankfully we packed slow cookers and air fryers as well - and deep fried our turkey outside :-) You can’t go wrong booking a stay here!"

"I can't begin to describe how peaceful and beautiful this property is. The photos of the inside do not do the home justice. This property was crafted by the owners and they paid attention to every little detail. Exposed beams, a huge back porch, and even a ramp for our old, lame dog! The grounds are beautiful and, most importantly, PRIVATE. We did not see another soul on the property the whole time we were there. I loved walking the trails with my dog and sitting on top of the hill watching the sun set. Other reviews have mentioned mice....there was not one single hint that mice were on the premises! No smell...no droppings....nothing. The house was immaculate. Were the grounds groomed like a golf course? No...but we did not want that. We wanted a natural surrounding and that is what we got. Tom and Mally were wonderful hosts and always responded very quickly (within a few minutes!!!!) when I had a question. Book this home if you are a nature lover. You won't regret it. "
