"This place was so cute and perfect for our needs. My husband and I stayed here with our two college age boys for a quick getaway to Galena. My husband and I took the main bedroom while one of our sons took the 2nd bedroom and the other slept on the pull out bed in the loft. "We stayed here on a weekend fishing trip. Everything was good, would recommend, and would stay again. A few pros, good kitchen setup with little things alread there like coffee, spices, etc already there. Washer & Dryer on site, we never used, but nice option to have. A few things I think could be improved, better lighting in the bathroom, and maybe anchor the hanging beds to something. Thanks we enjoyed our stay!"

A few drawbacks this time though... the owner was slow to respond when we called twice (didn't answer the phone), and then messaged on the vrbo app, to which she did respond. The address that Google pulled up when I clicked on "get directions" from our booking brought us to the wrong location, so a local lady had to give us better directions. We had no TV remote, even after searching the entire place high and low. There is no shower...

We gathered in the great room for our meeting, experienced cooking together and a ‘family dinner’ around the big table. We hiked as our activity and enjoyed a bonfire too. We went into galena one evening for dinner - just a quick 20 minute drive. We enjoyed our short stay and would consider returning."
