"Where do I begin? Let’s start with, DO NOT STAY HERE. Room 63 was completely uninhabitable due to a severe, active pest infestation. As a direct result of this health and safety hazard, four adults were forced to crowd into a single room (room 62) for the entire 3 night stay. Hotel management refused to issue a refund Upon arrival, we simply dropped off our suitcases and left the property for the day. We never used or slept in the room, and never opened the balcony doors. When we returned in the evening, the room was heavily infested with bugs. We tried calling front desk immediately that same night, no one answered. We even walked over to the front desk at night, no one was present. NO STAFF ON SITE at night is an immediate safety concern. Hotel staff acknowledged the issue and offered to "deep clean" the room. We agreed and waited. However, when we went back to inspect the room after this supposed “cleaning” bugs were still crawling everywhere. This proves a deep-seated, active infestation that the hotel can’t just “deep clean”. Front desk staff falsely claimed that we left the balcony doors open. This is completely untrue. The infestation was present immediately upon our return, and the failure of their own deep-cleaning process proves the issue was structural, not environmental or caused by us. Hotel staff was rude, condescending and totally unprofessional: Hector and Manfried Arias. AVOID THIS HOTEL AT ALL COSTS. Rooms so outdated, dirty old. Nothing like pictures"

"We had a great stay! Dylan was fantastic, his energy and attentiveness was faultless, and he was able to give recommendations of what to do around the area. The areas to relax around the property were nice, including the pool and the hammocks. The included breakfast was wonderful - with various options to choose from. There are also options to buy lunch / dinner, and drinks and these meals were very good too! We had a garden view condo which was large and stocked with everything required, including utensils to cook. Water pressure in the shower was good, and wifi was strong throughout the property. There was a dehumidifier in the room which was helpful and the aircon in the bedroom was strong. The only thing that could have been improved would be to have mesh over areas that were exposed to the outside - such as over the bathroom vent and kitchen extractor, to limit any insects getting into the room. We were able to see wildlife from the accommodation including scarlet macaws, and the accommodation was also well located - a quick drive into the centre or to the national park. We would definitely recommend staying here."

"Our experience was delightful! Beautiful views from the restaurant! I like the idea of separate swimming pools. One for family and the other one for adults. We had a stand room with the view of the jungle towards the street. The beds were firm which was uncomfortable first nights. But I loved to hear the early birds and the howling monkeys! We also stayed the night in a superior ocean view to experience the difference. I could hear the air conditioning sound off the second floor next to the balcony. It was annoying to me. Pro is the ocean view and restroom size and perhaps better bed. I prefer the standard room looking towards the jungle! I wish it was all inclusive hotel. Since it was not, we ate at the local restaurants and used Uber. I would return to this hotel. Everyone was friendly! Pura Vida!"

"This truly is a rainforest paradise! Located a 20 minute drive from Quepos high in the canopy, you feel very in touch with nature. Before we arrived, we were given very clear directions, including a grocery store to stop at and stock up. I recommend taking advantage of that opportunity. Adriena met us in a pouring rain and guided us to the house. She was so sweet. We were able to park in the car port and get our luggage and groceries in w/o getting too wet. We settled in, listening to the sounds of the rainforest from the covered patio. The house is quite unique in its design and decor, with plenty of seating space for the 6 adults in our group. The 1st floor bedroom has a private bath and 3 beds. The 2nd floor bedrooms are big w/ hardwood floors-squeaky at times, a private balcony, and a shared bathroom. Deborah helped us arrange a deep sea fishing excursion with Captain Franklin. It was absolutely wonderful! She also connected us with a local chef- Cleo. I cannot speak highly enough of this experience. Cleo prepared the fish we caught, along with other traditional dishes. She was so good, we invited her back the second night for another meal. Why drive into town to eat, when you can have an expert prepare a meal just for you?? And then there's the waterfall on the property! It's about a 20 minute hike from the house, but very much worth it. It is absolutely gorgeous and completely private. If you are looking for an experience to get away from it all, this is the place!"

"Our stay at Ecotica was absolutely wonderful. The hotel is beautiful, surrounded by nature, and offers an unforgettable Costa Rican experience. We loved seeing wildlife around the property, and the rooms were comfortable, clean, and well-maintained. The staff throughout the hotel were friendly, welcoming, and attentive, making our stay even more enjoyable. The only disappointing part of our visit was our experience at the YOLO restaurant. Unfortunately, we encountered a waiter who was quite rude and made us feel unwelcome. He rolled his eyes when we asked questions and when we requested recommendations, which left a negative impression. The service we received there did not reflect the excellent hospitality we experienced throughout the rest of the hotel. Despite this unpleasant experience at the restaurant, everything else about Ecotica was outstanding. The property, atmosphere, and overall service were exceptional. We would still recommend Ecotica to anyone visiting Manuel Antonio and would gladly stay here again."

"I visited this location in May 2026 during the low season. The rooms were very spacious and nice. I did have an issue with the lock on my door that led to the pool area. The staff were EXTREMELY quick to fix the lock within the hour! The free breakfast in the morning was delicious and the staff had plenty of helpful directions for affordable excursions that are very simple to navigate. The owner of the property is VERY sweet, understanding and accommodation. He has the most adorable puppy as well. Will definitely stay again! Thank you so much! ❤️"
