"Lovely hotel with beautiful grounds and a good breakfast. The staff were friendly, and it was great to have a choice between bar food and the restaurant, especially because the hotel is on the edge of town. Some fittings are a little dated and the carpet and furnishings in our room were quite old, but everything was very comfortable. The little children’s play area was a real advantage, as is the amazing swimming pool only five minutes away by car."

"Room was ok. A bit warm as there was no air conditioning or fan. The bed was ok apart from the awful pillows (which you will find in most German hotels sadly) which are big, floppy and offer no support to your head. The bathroom was clean. The hill up to the hotel is very steep if youre walking. Hard work with a heavy suitcase, especially on the cobbles! Surrounding area nice. Near to the old town with the beautiful castle and churches. Staff were nice. They spoke English and booked a taxi...
