Even better than last time
It was our second time staying at De Kastanjefabriek. Last time was with COVID in full swing, now we could really enjoy the tasty breakfast. Dinner locations are plenty in Eibergen, same with walking and bicycling trails. Excellent and quiet location. One small note for others: unless you hang the sign for "cleaning please" on your door, your room won't be touched by the staff. This wasn't mentioned to us when we checked in. On the second day we ended up asking for fresh towels at 6PM at the reception...

Excellent hotel

The best hotel in all measures
I don’t write these usually, but this was so great that I want you to choice this hotel too. Worth to give all points for this. The first hotel this year for me with proper ventilation in room too. I would give 11 points out of 10 if they would have holder/base for the bag, but even when my bag had to be on the floor, this was worth of 10/10

"De Kastanjefabriek"surpassed our expectations. Situated some 8 km from Germany in Eibergen in green lawned grounds,plenty of parking space some 40 yds from the entrance door,a lift,staircase (no risers),vending machines on first floor landing.Swift check-in.Card key opened the door to our huge spacious clean room.Work top, sink, electric kettle, tea,coffee,creamer,sugar,fridge (no freezer), 2 glasses, coffee cups, glass tea cups, small plates,cutlery,tea towels.Open cupboard with a rail/hangers for clothes,cube space storage. Table, 2 chairs,floor lamp, still lots of space sufficient to swing a jaguar in without bumping into any of our luggage. A picture with the dark muted colours of the old Dutch Masters but on closer inspection ultra modern rather than Rembrandt. Bathroom? Through the door past the loo was a heavenly rain shower with huge head,also a small shower on a hose, in glass cubicle. Large sink, large mirror above a shelf. Two each tiny nice smelling shower gels, shampoo, little soaps. The heavenly shower was truly blissful especially after the long journey. Comfortable beds-duvet,crisp clean white sheets. Modern but comfortable,good lighting,new clean appearance, thoughtfully planned with good quality fittings, quiet.Some 200 yds over bridge along the road from the hotel filled up at Peugeot garage/self service Total Express,cheapest diesel we had seen in 3 countries.Breakfast available(August 2018) Owners are pleasant and speak perfect English. Return? YES.

Het was fijn om op de kamer een waterkoker koffie thee en een ijskast de gelegenheid om zelf wat te eten of te drinken mee te nemen. Als gast heb je tevens ook servies en bestek ter beschikking. Deze service ben ik nog niet ergens anders tegengekomen. Chappeau!!

Extremely nice hotel
Hotel in an old, very well renovated factory building with a big parking and kind of park; directly located in front of a natural park. Very nice rooms with kitchenette ( no cooking facilities) but therefore a huge spacious lounge in the second floor with massive big complete kitchen. Very comfy beds, free and fast WLAN. Very nice staff. Possibility to buy a nice lunch package instead of breakfast (Corora restrictions). Very reasonable prices for the rooms. Good shopping possibilities in walking distance and even a lot of restaurants (okay, due to Corona all closed for sit-in but open for takeaway). Great experience at all

Ruimte en rust
Prachtig B&B hotel net buiten Eibergen (loopafstand). Heerlijk rustig gelegen met een parkachtige tuin achter het hotel. Ruime kamers, supervriendelijk en behulpzaam personeel. Fietsenstalling met voldoende oplaadmogelijkheden voor e-bikes. Perfecte uitvalbasis voor heel veel fiets- en wandeltochten. Gebruik ook zeker de kortingsbonnen die je bij inchecken krijgt. Alledrie de restaurants serveren heerlijk eten!

Vriendelijke mensen, heerlijk tot rust gekomen. Mooie kamer, met koelkast en waterkoker. Bovendien een heerlijke regendouche. Je loopt zo het dorpje Eibergen in met meerdere restaurantjes, supermarkten etc. Ook voldoende en ruime parkeerplekken bij het hotel. Een aanrader!!
