"This is a wonderful updated hotel with a pool area complete with swim up bar. Floaty toys for the kids, and a covered open dining area. My favourite was The Wharf inbetween the foyer and the swimming area where you could sit and read or work on your laptop… tropical, natural and peaceful setting great for families."

My wife and I fought for our lives against a giant cockroach and the villa definitely had a lot of ants and spiders. The plunge hours being limited to the spa hours was a downside for us as well. My wife recommends the facial! The private pool was awesome. Truly if we didnt have the bug issues I would have given it 5 stars."

"A Indonesian-style retreat about a 15 minute drive from Port Douglas with beautiful rainforest and coastal views from the communal dining room/terrace and pool (both areas are small but lovely to hang out at). We both preferred to stay out of PD and visit it rather than the other way around! Andre is a fantastic host, always on hand to help or provide advice on local activities and dining options (limited locally but there is a great Thai in Mossman at which you can dine in or takeaway and eat on the terrace at this property - Andre will provide plates and cutlery). Large bed with a beautiful canopy and a delicious fresh-fruit, yoghurt, and croissant/toast breakfast each morning. The steep drive way may surprise you when you first arrive but continue up for the fantastic views! Mossman Gorge, PD's crocodile viewing bridge and the Cape Tribulation drive are all must dos from Mai Tai."

"Lido Grande was the perfect apartment for our extended family to holiday in together. We all had plenty of space and bedroom flexibility to accomodate our 3 generations. We felt at home right away and had everything we needed. We didn't need to contact out host once as everything was there exactly as we had hoped and expected in a property of this calibre. The kitchen was a delight to prepare meals in with lots of useful things provided in the pantry and fridge to get us started. Having the laundry so accessible was fabulous to keep towels fresh after daily fun in the pool which really is as beautiful as the pictures suggest. We had never stayed at this end of town before and we all enjoyed getting to know the St Crispins area of Port Douglas. It is a welcoming community that is easy to meet at the wonderful cafe around the corner in the most beautiful setting you can imagine. Our children are already asking when we can return! Highly recommended by us all."
