  • You'll love being so close to the beach, but secluded by the oak and palmettos out front! The Octopus Oak provides your family with everything they need to enjoy Edisto's beauty and peaceful pace. Recently renovated with new furniture, HVAC. 4 BRs 3.5 BAs (1.5 bath is Jack-n-Jill with shared soaking tub/shower). Master BR also has both freestanding soaking tub and shower. Open and well-appointed LR/DR/Kitchen area. Large screened porch with dining table, 2 Adirondack chairs, and 6 ft swing. Downstairs, you'll hang out in the outdoor entertainment area, which has a 65" TV, seating for 8, a BBQ grill, and ping pong table. Edisto is "the beach the way it used to be" - no hotels/high rises or chain restaurants/stores - only locally owned shops, casual restaurants, and farm (or ocean!)-to-table dining. Charleston's not far, if you want cultural amenities, but honestly, most people come to Edisto -- to explore, rest, soak up the sun and waves, enjoy nature, and make memories -- and they rarely leave!
