Very convenient for the fringe, bus service very good and easy 30min walk to centre. Tram station only 10mins. Quite basic accommodation but perfect for staying during The Fringe. The road was a bit noisy.

The property itself was in a good location and proximity to city centre was ideal as we were able to walk most places. The only downside was the room was very warm, the mattress was lumpy and the pillows rather thin. Over all we would recommend it for it's location, facilities and staff were wonderful. It is ideal for a few but we recommend you bring your own fan and pillows.

The staff was absolutely amazing! Remember this is student accommodation so it's dorm like. It's not a hotel. We loved it as we are travelers and enjoy making connections with guests and the staff. Great experience in Scotland!

The location is excellent - convenient to many places, for the price. However, the building/room is very hot without any temperature control. No daily room service. You have to ask for shampoo/body wash daily.

Very basic room, is basically student digs that's being used as a hotel. Check in at 3pm but so many customers all arriving at the same time and not enough reception staff made check in slow and painful. In a plus note, we were allowed to store our bags during the day as we arrived in Edinburgh very early.

Ok but too hot!

They are what youd expect from student accommodation basic but sufficient. Staff were friendly and cleanliness was ok. Quite a central location. However, the rooms were extremely hot, uncomfortably so. It felt like there was heating on (August). The corridors were even warmer. The weather wasnt especially warm so it did not seem to be related to that. Based on this i wouldn't stay again.

Stayed here while visiting for the Fringe festival, it was a convenient walk to town with lots of good foody options nearby. The room was small and simple but felt modern, clean and had everything you need, nice powerful shower! Access to microwave, fridge, kettle, oven, etc. in the shared kitchen. As a lone traveller I felt very safe and secure once I was inside the building. There was an open main entrance to the very friendly reception, then three locked doors you can open with your room fob to get you inside your space. My only criticism would be the pillows were rubbish, two VERY soft pillow, had to fold them to get anything resembling support.

THIS IS NOT A HOTEL

NOT A HOTEL! This is a dormitory that is used as a hotel in the off season. The rooms are tiny and very hot. Mattress and pillows are paper thin. I basically slept on a tabletop. There's no soap in anyone's rooms so nobody is washing their hands. No trashcans. This is a youth hostel, not a hotel.

Far Too hot too uncomfortable couldn’t sleep could be doing with better pillows as I have been in agony with neck strain since the first night of my stay Small tv in room would be better rather than in lounge as need privacy No soaps in shower / wash basin Coffee / tea and kettle would be good in rooms also again for own privacy Nice friendly staff though I wouldn’t tbh stay again

Dirty place to stay

Room was dirty, had clearly not been hoovered before my arrival. Hairs in the shower. Mould in the shower. Very hot room with no aircon. No amenities, tv, kettle etc. did not have proper bed sheets so often touching the mattress.
