"The staff here are amazing. So nice and helpful. The location is good also. The convenience of the parking garage to proximity of rooms was also on point. My disappointment was in the room itself. The building is old I understand, however things need work. The air conditioner was very loud and the vents blew the air directly into the bed next to it. The rest of the room was warmer and uncomfortable. The wall paper in the baths need seeing to, it's peeling off. Better quality sheets are also needed. I won't stay here again but it's only because of the physical building is in need of an update. Can't brag on your staff enough. Great people!"

"Sparkling clean. Everything we needed was there for us. The floors were clean however we did feel a slightly sticky film. It could have been some leftover cleaner because the floors were clean."

"The hotel is old with nostalgia. There were no amenities specifically for AlphaKappaAlpha as our 5 day convention was going on. The hotel can really use more upgrading. There was no complementary breakfast and I was told we should go next door to the Fairfield hotel for that. The food on the rooftop of the Elayton was very good. Over all, I give the hotel 3 stars. I was a little disappointed because the hotel did not honor the AKA convention rate and it was not worth the cost. "

"The room was beautiful but the "city view" that I paid extra for was a view of the parking garage across the street. My biggest complaint was the street light that was shining on our bed with no way to close the drapes. There were heavy drapes on either side of the window and then a sheer drape in the middle that did nothing for blocking that light. You couldn't pull the heavy drape across due to the lack of size and the way they were made to stay put on either side. Very poor design and needless to say our one night stay was ruined and neither of us was able to sleep. It was like daylight at midnight. I can't recommend your place to anyone because of this. "
