This hotel is an excellent value and a cultural treat. The location provides easy access to Amsterdam and is nearby the very interesting Zaans Schans windmills museum. The staff could not be more lovely and the entire experience of the hotel and restaurant are very romantic.

A cute little property in the heart of Edam. It is close to the cheese shop and a few restaurants. We stayed in a back building on the second floor. The spiral stairs were steep! The property sits on a canal and it is beautiful. There is a bus very near that is non-stop into Amsterdam and only 30 minutes.

In a very pretty garden setting this unique property is filled with charm and interesting decor including art. The lovely plants and fresh flowers even in guest rooms and the subtle lighting add to the inviting atmosphere. The breakfast was delicious with many choices. Clearly much attention, care and thought has gone into creating and maintaining this wonderful hotel and restaurant. It was a pleasure to stay there.

Relaxed atmosphere

It was a great way to take a break from busy cities. It was so relaxing we ended up adding an additional day to our stay. Don’t miss the opportunity to have dinner here- it was one of our better meals on a two trip through the Netherlands. Breakfast is pretty simple, but good enough to get your day started.

This was a wonderful quaint hotel. The location is idyllic, with a beautiful garden overlooking a canal. The restaurant food and overall dining experience is excellent. Nicolas the manager/owner could not have been more accommodating. We highly recommend this hotel.
