"decent nights stay but i wouldn’t choose this hotel again. there is no air conditioning - we were there on a 90 degree day. i was loudly scolded by the breakfast room attendant for taking an unfinished water bottle with me from the dining area - i was “supposed to consume it in the dining room.” breakfast costs paris style prices for baguette, croissant, and coffee. overall: hot, unfriendly, only moderately comfortable. "If you like old towns with history and want to stay in an old coaching inn (logis de france), then stay here! It is old but cleaned very well. The restaurant (also dining room for breakfast) is beautiful. Le monsieur (owner) is a excellent chef and madame serves meals for an elegant and unhurried evening. often only 4-6 other tables dining. We stayed for 3 weeks and loved Loches and the Hotel de France!"

"Beautiful accommodation and surroundings.our boys enjoyed jumping in the swim pool after a long journey. Our room was excellent and very comfortable. We stayed on a Sunday and the restaurant was closed. We went out for dinner and returned around 9.30pm and the bar area was closed. It looked lovely and would have been nice to sit and enjoy a drink."
