Awesome cabin!
Nice little cabin out in the middle of what seems to be nowhere but off a main highway. Kids loved it and so did we. The air conditioners did have a hard time keeping up and the stairs were VERY steep. Neither was a problem for us but just to let other be aware. Overall, loved it and hope to come back again!

Perfect Location and Amenities
This was the perfect getaway for us with our dogs. Kelly provides absolutely everything that you might need including bottled water! We hope to stay every July 4th weekend. It was very quiet - even the few fireworks that were going on could not be heard from inside. The only very minuscule issue we had was that because of the heat (low 90’s), it took a day and a half for the portable air conditioners to cool the downstairs to around 72-73 degrees. However, we did have perfect sleeping temperatures as it cooled down at night! Just something to be aware of, if like me, you tend to be a polar bear 😂. We also loved the fact that there was a perfect swimming spot for the dogs just a 1/2 mile walk away. Thank you very much for having us!

Memorial Day weekend
We really enjoyed our stay! It was an easy walk down to the lake. It was such a peaceful, quiet area. Short drive to Lake Patoka ($9 Daily fee for out of state residents) where we were able to hike and rent a pontoon boat for the day. Plenty of other things to do in the park. We took a 25 min drive to Marengo cave which was a beautiful, historic National landmark. The cabin was adorable, very comfortable and cozy. The water appeared brown and a bit smelly but the host provided plenty of bottled water to accommodate! We will be back :)

Great secluded getaway
We had a wonderful stay at the cabin! It's nicely secluded and wooded, but not too far away from town. The cabin is super cute, and just the right size for me, my husband, and our small pup. We planned a weekend of hiking. It rained super hard the first day, so we weren't able to hike, but we spent the day watching movies and listening to the rain fall softly on the roof. The next day the rain let up and we were able to explore some of the great nearby hikes. There is no wifi and I had no cell service at the cabin, which was perfect, because we were able to totally disconnect and really enjoy our time there. It was so relaxing. The tap water is a little iffy for drinking (slightly brown), but they left us tons of bottled water to drink and use for cooking, so it wasn't a problem.

If you are 75 yrs. old or older, short in stature, not good.
The cabin was clean and very “homey”. Problems were that because of our stature, the unusually high steps (not usual) to the loft bedroom we could not handle—no railing. Pots and frying pans were hung on the walls above our reach without a step stool. One towel and one hand towel in the bathroom for the two of us. TV with lots of movies to insert wasn’t working properly—unable to have the volume turned up—needed new batteries, we believe. We left after one day. Beautiful spot for young, tall folks. Big mistake for us.

Comfortable, Quiet and Perfect for a Couple
My wife and I really enjoyed staying here. It was super quiet and peaceful, and the surrounding woods were pretty. Cellular signals are weak enough to disconnect from the world. We took walks, used the outside fire pit, enjoyed fine meals in the cute kitchen, and watched plenty of movies. We really like how they have a table along the back window to sit for meals and morning coffee and enjoy the view. The cabin is prefect for a couple and even any four-legged family members. Also, the cabin now has well water (lots of water).
